Role of resources in Teaching and Learning
“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as
he lives.” Clay P. Bedford

Why we use resources?
● We Teachers use a wide range of stimulating and exciting materials to teach the concepts outlined in the curriculum to ensure that students are actively involved in learning.
● The introduction of technology rich environments and multi-sensory resources can also be useful in reaching each student strengths and engaging students to become life-long learners.

Analysis of the topic to determine the areas of difficulty/ conceptual
challenges● Chemical evolution was the topic selected to
teach as it is very difficult concept for the students to understand.
● Oparin and Halden experiment clears the complete concept of chemical evolution.

Evaluation of resource ICT/ non-ICT; selected ICT (A Video) and non-ICT why?
The apparatus is complex to set in laboratory condition of our schools.
A video helps to:
● To show complex sequences of events.
● To enhance teaching in both large groups and small groups.
● To show clinical skills.
● To stimulate student discussion.
● As an aid to consideration of affective skills.
● To provide students with feedback on their performance.

and are different problem based learning)
● Developing study guides (out doors)● Various skills laboratories

The impact of using the resources - as a teacher
● I became more accurate in using various IT tools.
● I mysely acquired more knoweledge and the simplest ways of making students understand complex ideas.
● I could develop my own chronology of ideas and could present them according to the requirements of students.
●

● Where did life come from? Is evolution really the best scientific answer? Answer
● Could life have begun through chance and natural chemistry? Have laboratory scientists proved that life evolved on its own? What discovery should have stopped the whole Creation/Evolution debate?
