One of Innovia Films' key strengths lies in the ability to develop new products which present key technical benefits to the packaging supply chain. NatureFlex™ films offer a number of options designed for premium product protection. A wide range of moisture barriers is available, dependent on product requirements. NatureFlex™ NK offers the highest moisture barrier of any transparent bio-film. Also, all NatureFlex™ films offer excellent oxygen barrier.

Traditional performance – Renewable materials
The major challenge for bio-materials is to mimic current packaging specifications and formats used in today's demanding applications. Innovia Films has developed a series of new products designed to offer traditional laminate performance, whilst maintaining the focus on the environment. By using proprietary coating technology, NatureFlex™ N913, the first of these new products, has been developed as a potential replacement for PET/PE type laminates.

Towards the end of 2009, Innovia Films commissioned a new €10M cellulose film production line. This investment offers many environmental benefits whilst increasing product quality and the scope for new product development.
This project highlights Innovia Films' commitment to creating market leading renewable packaging, whilst reducing the overall environmental impact of the associated processes.
