Contract arrangements with carriers can be complex and freight rate structures are often bewildering for those not directly involved in rate negotiations. A large organization with a variety of shipping needs could have scores of rating arrangements that may apply to a given shipment. How can you easily determine the best rate?
WISL Webrate is a web based application that provides the capability to enter the characteristics of a shipment and retrieve the best rate along with a list of other applicable rates and access to further details about the rates and contract arrangements..
The web based WISL Webrate interactive facility interfaces with WISL FAIS(Freight Analysis Information System) which provides for the storage and maintenance of rates data . After the shipment specifications are collected on the Webrate interactive facility they are sent to the WISL FAIS server which interrogates the rates data base and returns the best rate and related data to the Webrate interactive facility.
Webrate is designed to be accessed utilizing one of the major web browsers and utilizes many of the familiar features of internet browser access. It also interfaces with the DBMS server to invoke the FAIS auto-rating facility. It also features customized screen formats to address specific corporate requirements.This demo employs the displays developed for EMCO Limited
