Before registering the product, you will need to identify and select the style of Rating Plate

that is on your product. Look at the style of the long code number on your rating plate and

compare it to the 3 options below.

1 2 3

The 1st and 2nd options are the two most common Rating Plate used on our tools. They are

the most recent versions used. (for batteries they are different)

IF THE WRONG VERSION HAS BEEN SELECTED THE CODES THAT YOU ENTER WILL NOT BE

ACCEPTED AND YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE. CLOSE THE MESSAGE AND

SELECT THE CORRECT LABEL.

With each step of the process the area of the rating plate you require will be highlighted in

green.

Type in the 1st set of numbers from the long code number, this is a 6-digit number unless it

is prefixed with 4000. A drop-down box will appear showing you different versions of the

tool you are registering. Choose the top one of these options by clicking on it. NB. It may be

prefixed by 4000 even if you did not enter 4000

IF YOU DO NOT CLICK ON ONE OF THE OPTIONS IT WILL NOT REGISTER.

After every option you will need to validate the data by clicking on the validate button

The 2nd step is to enter the 5 or 6-digit serial number. The number of digits you enter will

The 3rd step is to enter the production code from the tool. The production code is at the

end of the long code number. It is made up of a letter and a year. Click on the validate

button

calendar to select the date of purchase. NB. This must be done within 30 days of purchase.

Once you have validated all the data and it has been accepted the option to register a

battery will appear. If your tool was bought as a “naked” version (no battery or charger) you

can ignore this step and move on to attaching your Proof of purchase (strongly

recommended for a paperless process). Enter your dealer details and add a comment if

required NB. The comment and History of the tool boxes are free text and not mandatory.
