Read these instructions carefully beforeusing your new coffee machine for thefirst time. Improper use of the machinereleases Nespresso from any liability.Caution – When you see this sign, pleaserefer to the safety precautions to avoidpossible harm and damage.Information – When you see this sign,please take note of the advice for thecorrect and safe usage of your coffeemachine1 In case of an emergency: immediatelyremove the plug from the power socket.2 Only plug the appliance into suitableand easily accessible, earthed mainsconnections.3 The use of incorrect connection voidsthe warranty.4 Children should never use theappliance without close adultsupervision.5 This appliance is not intended for useby persons (including children) withreduced physical, sensory or mentalcapabilities or lack of experience andknowledge unless they have been giveninitial supervision or instructionconcerning the use of the appliance by aperson responsible for their safety.6 Check that the voltage quoted on therating plate is the same as your mainsvoltage.7 Use only the specific power corddelivered with the machine, mount it inthe bottom of the machine asmentioned in the user manual.8 Your machine is made for indoor useonly.9 Do not put the fingers under thecoffee or hot water outlets, risk ofscalding.10 Always fill the water tank withpotable water.11 Empty water tank if coffee machinewill not be used for an extended time(holidays etc.).12 Replace water in water tank beforecoffee machine is put into operationafter a weekend or a similar period oftime.13 Always close the lever completely andnever lift it during operation. Scaldingmay occur. Do not put fingers into thecapsule insertion slot or the capsuleejection. Danger of injury!

14 If a capsule is blocked into the capsulecompartment, turn the machine off andunplug it before any operation. CallNespresso.15 To avoid hazardous damage, never placethe appliance on or beside hot surfaces suchas heating plate, radiators, stoves, ovens,gas burners, open flames, or similar. Alwaysplace it on a flat, stable and even surface,away from water splashes. The surface mustbe resistant to heat and fluids, like water,coffee, descaler, or similar.16 Place this product 20cm from the body ofthe user or nearby person.17 Remove the plug from the mains socket ifyou will not be using the machine for anextended time (holidays). Before cleaningand servicing, remove the plug from themains socket and let the machine cooldown. Do not unplug by pulling the powercord.18 Do not use the machine if it is notoperating perfectly or if it shows any sign ofdamage. In case of any malfunction ordamage, call Nespresso.19 All operations other than normal use,cleaning, and servicing must be performedby the Nespresso authorized after-salescentre. The warranty does not apply to anydefect resulting from accident, negligence,misuse, failure to follow the productinstructions, calcium deposits, improper orinadequate maintenance, normal wear andtear, use on current or voltage other than asmarked on the product, product alteration,fire, lightening, flood or external causes.20 Never immerse the machine, power cordor plug in water or any other liquid.21 Keep the power cord out of reach ofchildren.22 Never leave the power cord near or incontact with hot parts of the machine, asource of heat, or a sharp edge.23 When the power cord or plug isdamaged, you must not use the machine. Inorder to avoid danger, call your NespressoBusiness Solutions to have the defective partrepaired or replaced.24 For your own safety, you should use onlyparts and accessories from Nespresso thatare made for your machine.25 Never use the machine without the driptray or the drip grid.26 All Nespresso machines must passstringent controls. Reliability tests underpractical conditions are performed randomlyon selected units. This can show traces ofany previous use.

27 The manufacturer cannot be held liablefor any damage caused by not intended useor inappropriate handling of the machine.28 Descaling:• The descaling solution can be harmful.Avoid contact with eyes, skin and surfaces.We recommend the Nespresso descaling kitavailable from Nespresso as it is specificallyadapted to your machine. Do not use otherproducts (such as vinegar) that would affectthe taste of the coffee. For any additionalquestions you may have regarding descaling,please contact your Nespressorepresentative.• Preparation: please read carefully thesafety instructions on the descaling agentpackaging and follow the instructions fromthe descaling manual.• Descaling: do not use the machine for anyother purpose during the descaling process.• Rinse: rinse the water tank and clean themachine to avoid any residual descalingsolution.Household useThis appliance is intended to be used inhousehold and similar applications such as:• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices andother working environments;• farm houses;• by clients in hotels, motels and otherresidential type environments;• bed and breakfast type environments.This product has not been certified for useon planes, boats, trains and automobiles.Office useZenius is an Espresso coffee maker (ormachine). This appliance is intended to beused by expert or trained users in shops, inlight industry and on farms, or for office useby lay persons.Installation instruction• Machine must be disconnected duringinstallation.• minimal space (height) for correct use ofthe machine: 55 cm.• in a horizontal positionThis machine works only with Nespresso®Pro capsules, available through Nespressoand its authorised distributors.

Daily Cleaning

Do not use any strong cleaning agent or solvent cleaner. Do not put the appliance or

part of it in a dishwasher. Never immerse theappliance or part of it in water.

Coffee Preparation

Do not put fingers into the capsuleinsertion slot or the capsule ejection.

This functionality will be activatedat a later stage.

Recommended coffee button blinks according to capsule variety inserted. The other 2 coffee buttons are also available. (*) Example for Espresso Leggero:

Preparation will stop automatically. To stop thecoffee flow, press anybutton.

Hot Water Preparation

Eject coffee capsule before hot water preparation.

Dip test strip briefly (1 sec) intowater. Shake off excess and wait 1min. Reset water hardness in your

machine accordingly.

Life-time of the Nespresso "AquaClarity" filter is 4 months.

Programming the Cup Volume

Factory setting:• Ristretto button: volume 25 ml• Espresso button: volume 40 ml• Lungo button: volume 110 ml

• Hot water button: volume 125 ml

Press and hold Lungoand Hot water buttons while turning on the machine.

Press and hold cup buttonduring blinking cycle. Release once desired volume is served.

To adjust hotwater cup volumeno capsule isnecessary.

Reset to Factory Settings

Emptying the System

Before a period of non use, forfrost protection or before a repair.

Press and hold Lungobutton while turning on the machine.

Press and hold Espresso and Hot water buttons. While holding turn on themachine. When machine is empty, it turnsoff automatically.
