1. GeneralValquo was designed to quotate control valves

- according to the individual process data- out of Flowserve Schmidt – Armaturen’s product range

1.1 About this ManualThis manual is intented to give ValQuo beginners an idea , how to work with ValQuo.However this manual is not complete enough, to replace a training.

1.2 The Process of QuotatingThe process of quotating control valves by means of ValQuo consists of:

• creating customers

• creating modelcodes, prices,delivery times

• printing the required documents

• exporting quotations

1.3 Required dataIn order to be able to quotate valves by means of ValQuo, we have to know:

• Customer data

• Process data

• Technical data

1.3.1 Customer dataIn order to fill out all the documents correctly, the following data have at least to be known:

• Customer name

• Customer address

• Contact

• Telephone number

1.3.2 Process dataDepending on the medium the following data have to be known:

• Water:- Abs. upstream pressure- Abs. downstream pressure- Working temperature

- Flow rate at operating condition

• Liquid:- Abs. upstream pressure- Abs. downstream pressure- Working temperature- Flow rate at operating condition

• Steam:- Abs. upstream pressure- Abs. downstream pressure- Working temperature- Weight of flow

• Viscous liquids:- Abs. upstream pressure

At the end of the quotation process, ValQuo delivers the following output:

- Modelcode

- Selling price- Delivery time- various forms

• Cover sheet

• Terms of Sale

• Summary

• Description

• Process data

• Doku as Built

In order to make all this theoretical considerations more understandable, a process of

quotation is going to be presented by a practical example.

In the next chapters you will learn to do the following processes by means of ValQuo:

• Creating a quotation

• Printing the documents

• Exporting a quotation

2. Creating a Quotation

2.1 Example

Note:The following example is only fictitious , the data have only been chosen to show the process of

quotation

Assumption: You get the following data from a customer

If the quotation becomes an order, send it according the following steps.

Note: Each quotation you want to export, has- to be selected individually- saved individually

Do not select, for instance, 3 quotations together, export them, and savethem under only one name !!! – doing so, causes problems concerning thefuture order to cash process!
