Please read carefully and make sure to comply with the following terms and conditions before

operating VTRON Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor.

Ensure proper grounding (grounded as indicated in the figure)

This product must be properly grounded to avoid dangers to

personal safety or any other harmful effects. Improper grounding

may cause severe system failure, unstable or unreliable system

operation, or even unrecoverable breakdown of the equipment.

Prohibit the illegal change to the original design

Any adding or deletion to any mechanical part or electric circuit

of this product is prohibited. Otherwise, VTRON will not assume

any liability for the results thus caused.

Prohibit the illegal installation of software

VTRON Digicom multi-screen processor is a dedicated image

controller and shall not be used for any other purpose. The

customer shall consult VTRON or the designated agent for the

installation of their own software. Otherwise VTRON will not

assume any liability for the results thus caused.

Be sure to cut off the power supply

Be sure to cut off the system power before conducting the

following operations.

A. Removal or reinstallation of any parts of the product

(except for the hot-pluggable parts)

B. Disconnection or reconnection of any electric connector

or other connectors of this product

Keep away from corrosive chemical gas or agent

Corrosive chemical gas or agent will damage the mechanical parts

and electric circuits of the products and directly affect its service

life. Avoid cleaning the appearance and inside of the product with

highly volatile solvent, such as gasoline, thinner, acetone, etc.

Keep away from inflammable and explosive materials

The product safety and personal safety cannot be ensured in the

environment with inflammable and explosive materials.

Keep away from equipment with strong electromagnetic

interference

The performance and stability of this product will be affected in

the environment with strong electromagnetic interference.

Disconnecting device of grid power

This equipment uses coupler or power connector as the

disconnecting device. Please ensure that the connector or coupler

is easily accessible, so that it can be used to disconnect the grid

power at dangerous time.

Note：

A. The equipment adopts replaceable battery of designated

specifications. Installation of improper battery may

cause explosion. Be sure to replace the battery with the

standard battery accessory provided by VTRON.

B. Be sure to dispose of the used battery according to the

instructions. Please consult the local environment

protection department for the disposal method of the

used battery.

1 Overview

Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is a 3D processor with extensive applications,

powerful functions and excellent price performance ratio developed, designed and produced by

VTRON. It is used for High Resolution Video Wall System and runs on Windows operating

system to process and output 3D application image, and reliably provide a 3D image display

environment with large screen and high resolution.

1.1 Features

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is a 3D multi-screen processor with extensive

applications, powerful functions and excellent price performance ratio with the resolution of

16k×16k. It runs on Windows operating system and offers a large screen and high resolution

Windows image display environment.

Features:

Hardware decoding and 3D function

Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is integrated with high-performance GPU to

satisfy the requirement of 3D applications on the system processing speed. And the multi-

channel applications running on the processor can be output and displayed continuously on the

screen with real-time and synchronization. The professional graphics card specifically

designed and developed for multi-screen processor supports DirectX 11.0, OpenGL 4.1 and

the OpenCL 3D APIs efficient application. Single slot solution endows the processor with an

amazing workstation-class performance and unmatched multi-screen display function, which

provides users with the most realistic graphics, computing, and visual viewing experience,

such as CAD applications, 3D digital video applications, 3D graphics display, and virtual

simulation applications. And the processor also brings user a superior processing ability on

hardware acceleration, performance and mapping quality.

Generation of high resolution uniform logic screen

Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor supports 3D applications working on

WINDOWS desktop. After the processing of the professional image combination

processor(can be used alone, or used together with ARK3100SP/ARK3200SP processors

designed by VTRON), all these desktop signals are combined to generate a high resolution

logic screen which can be displayed on the display wall.

Color depth

The color depth of the system includes 16bits, 24bits and 32bits, which not only satisfies the

ordinary color requirements, but also supports true color applications.

Network function

It supports Ethernet interface as well as TCP/IP and other common network protocols.

Comprehensive signal processing and display capabilities

This product, together with Visionpro display cube, is comprised of the display wall system,

and combined with Ark3100SP/Ark3200SP processor designed by VTRON, can realize 3D

applications running on the whole display wall, and at the same time meet the full real-time

display for the rapid expansion and access of the signals, so as to meet the requirement of

comprehensive signal processing in display wall system area.

2.2 Introduction for Front and Rear Panel Introduction

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor adopts IPC 4U industrial motherboard

chassis. The motherboard supports full series of server motherboard, ATX motherboard and

full series of full-length board. The base board supports 7-slot server motherboard.

NOTE:

Signal output cable cannot be pulled out or inserted when the processor is working with

power.

The figure below is for reference only. The specific configuration shall be in accordance

with the customer order.

2.2.1 OLD version of 7000 processor

Front panel: There are 2 USB ports, 1 power switch, 1 reset switch, 1 CD-ROM position, 2

pull-out HDD positions, as shown in the following figure:

Rear panel:

There are 7 slots for signal output (only 1 is used in the following configuration), redundancy

power and peripheral interfaces.

2.2.2 Upgraded 7000 processor

Front panel:

The following figure shows the main appearance of the front panel. There are two handles, one

power status indicator, one monitor display, one state indicator, and three function keys.

3. VDC software

VDC software, the configuration software designed for Magic7000 processor, uses

visualization interface to show the configuration results, which is convenient for the user to set

the output of each card, modify or expand the VDC software.

Working principle: After starting, VDC software can automatically load the mode profile,

and based on the model of current graphics card model and the value of Row, Col and

UnitResolution selected by the user, the appropriate mode in the profile will be matched out

and can be previewed through VDC interface through which user also can modify the

parameters, and at last, the mode can be saved as configuration file for the graphics card.

3.1 Install and Uninstall

Install process：Double-click the install file inside the package，and

then start the installation as following .

3.2 Software operation

Main interface of the software：

The details for the software operation will be described in the following sections.

3.2.1 Menu

A、Control

ShowLastConfig

Use this menu to show the last configuration file, and also this file has been set as the default

one when the program starts.

Restore

If current configuration is invalid，or for some reason, user wants to restore configuration to

previous one, this menu can be used at this time. There two menu options: “To Initial Config”

is used to restore to the initial configuration, generally the initial one adopts clone output mode;

and another one, “To Last Config” is used to restore to last configuration mode.

Exit

Click “Exit” to exit VDC software.

B、View

Toolbar

This menu is used to show or hide the Toolbar: Check is to show Toolbar, otherwise to hide.

VideoCard

This menu is used to show or hide the marked information （Card?:Port?）of VideoCard:

Check is to show the information, otherwise to hide.

C、Options

Language

This menu can be used to change the language between Chinese and the English.

Note: User should restart the software to make the change effect.

Change fontsize

This menu can be used to Increase fontsize or Decrease fontsize with real-time.

D、Help

Open Help menu to view the help manual and software version information.

3.2.2 Configuration instructions

A. Wall configuration for signal output

In the following interface, user can choose the value of row, col and UnitResolution.

B. Select Mode

If the value of row, col and Unitresolution has been selected successfully, the current preset

modes will be listed in the Mode list (see below). If the Desktop Interface mode has been

selected, the corresponding output signal will be desktop signal coming from Digicom

ARK3100SP/ARK3200SP processor; if Acquisition Interface mode has been selected, the

corresponding output signal will be Dual_link DP or Dual-link DVI; and if there was no

preset mode, output signal could be customized by user.

C. View and modify the configuration details of the VideoCard for the selected mode

When a mode has been selected, the current configuration will be listed at the left side of the

software, which can be modified by the user according to the requirements.

Switch Ports:

1、Right-click the mouse on the VideoCard config detail area inside the software interface.

2、User can switch the configuration details between two different ports in the following

dialog box.

D. Preview

Click the "Preview" button to display the schematic diagram of the output effect. As shown

below, the output area of each VideoCard port is labeled inside a red box where the text to

indicate a specific card number and port number has been displayed. One dotted line box of

the background area (blue or green) corresponds to one display cube of the wall.

E. Save

If no problem was found after the configuration details being previewed, click “Save” to save

the new configuration into the system.

F. Drag and drop operation

In “Preview area”, user can switch the configuration of two ports by the drag and drop

operation, method: left-click on window area inside the red box to select it firstly, and then

move the mouse, at last release the mouse to the new window location.

4 Hardware Installation

Note: The system installation must be carried out by the trained and qualified technicians.

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is delivered to the customer as a complete

unit. The hardware resources have been installed in accordance with the installation process

and subject to high-temperature and aging tests in the factory. You only need to connect the

processor and the external equipment onsite.

Please check the items according to the shipping list upon unpacking. In case of any loss or

damage, call the supplier immediately. The shipping list is in the packing box.

4.1 Chassis Installation

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor adopts standard industrial control chassis

and modular design, which is convenient for the installation of the processor into standard

cabinet in certain applications.

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor can be installed on the special mounting rack

near the display wall or installed in the special cabinet. However, when installing the multi-

screen processor in the cabinet, proper ventilation and heat dissipation in the cabinet shall be

ensured. Although the processor has strong heat dissipation capacity, if the hot air in the

cabinet is not circulated, the ambient temperature will be increased gradually, and the

performance and service life of the equipment will be affected.

The power socket of the Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is located on the left

bottom of the rear panel. When connecting the equipment power socket and the 220V

plugboard, please use the cable delivered together with the equipment. Incompliant power

cable will affect the power supply and the performance stability of the equipment. In addition,

to ensure the stability of the power supply to the multi-screen processor, the processor power

socket must be connected to independent power plugboard. Do not share power plugboard

with other equipment.

4.2 Connection to User Network

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor can operate in the network. However, in

actual application, you need to connect the processor to the network via NETWORK SWITCH.

On the rear panels of the multi-screen processor, there are 2 special network ports for the

connection of the equipment to the network via NETWORK SWITCH.

4.3 System Grounding

To ensure the equipment safety and reliability as well as operator’s safety, the equipment must

be properly grounded. That is, the grounding terminal must be connected to the special

grounding system through special grounding conductor and according to proper method.

Note: To ensure safe and normal operation, the electric grounding of electronic product is

mandatory. Improper grounding will severely affect the reliability and stability of the system

operation and affects the signal quality. Therefore, when installing the Digicom Magic 7000

multi-screen processor, the grounding of the system shall also be considered, including

whether the power system has grounding (e.g., using the certified Yanxin power cable and

socket). In addition, when installing the Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor in high-

rise building, the equipment needs to be connected to the ground through special safe

grounding system and kept away from the lightning grounding system of the building.

Improper system grounding will greatly affect the equipment signal transfer, causing

irremovable interference to the image. For more information, please consult VTRON. Make

sure that you strictly comply with the relevant regulations and maintain proper grounding

when using the equipment.

4.4 Startup and Operation

4.4.1 Normal Operation

Open the lower cover of the front panel and press the power button, the Digicom Magic 7000

multi-screen processor will automatically enter the Windows operating system after startup

and logon, and then display the Digicom desktop on the display wall.

The Digicom Magic 7000 multi-screen processor is based on Windows operating system.

Therefore, its startup interface shall be consistent with that of the corresponding Windows

operating system. In case of any difference, it may be caused by the difference of the desktop

items with your current task and desktop planning. Besides, when the task is changed, the

desktop may have corresponding change.

4.4.2 System Shutdown

The method for shutting down the multi-screen processor is as follows:

(1) Stop all the programs, and exit the system.

(2) Disconnect the power switch of the processor after that.

5. Daily Maintenance

5.1 Environment and Cleaning

Note: The equipment does not need any internal adjustment, nor is there any user serviceable

part in the equipment. To replace any part or repair the equipment, please contact the local

authorized service center. We are happy to provide timely service and troubleshooting for you.

Daily inspection and maintenance

1) The operating environment shall be dry, free of dust and have good ventilation.

2) Operating temperature: 0℃ - 40℃, Relative humidity: 20% - 80%, no condensing

3) Clean the equipment appearance frequently, but avoid using any rough or abrasive

cleaning agent.

4) Avoid placing any sundry in or above the ventilation hole and ventilation duct. Pay

special attention not to spray any liquid or chemicals on or near the equipment.

Equipment cleaning

1) Disconnect the power socket before cleaning the equipment.

2) When cleaning the inside and outside of the equipment, avoid using liquid or spray

cleaning agent.

3) Avoid using any corrosive solution (e.g. chemical thinner, acetone, gasoline or other

abrasive cleaning agent) which will damage the equipment appearance.

5.2 Routine Inspection

1) Monthly check if the system grounding is proper.

2) Monthly check if the connecting wires and power cables are broken or worn out, and if

the connectors and plug-ins are loose, rusted and oxidized.

3) Run the system for one to two hours each week when it is not frequently used. The

frequency shall be over once a day in damp seasons.

Display unit ――The unit type optical display product with integrated structure, generally

composed of mechanism, reflector, mechanical adjustment part and chassis.

Display wall ―― The large area display equipment made up of multiple display units in M

rows × N columns structure

Display wall system ―― The comprehensive display system with certain functions, which is
