AGORA is Evolving• Changes to the website may occur.• Technical difficulties occasionally arise.• If your password doesn’t work the first
time, don’t attempt to log in more than 3 times in a row.

Logging In• Anyone can browse journals without logging
in• To access full-text journal articles users’
institutions must be registered and user must log in using institutional user name and password
• AGORA log in does not give access to personalized services on publishers’ websites
Type in user name and password exactly as provided by your institution. Passwords are case-sensitive.

The initial AGORA page includes links to Databases and Article searches, Reference Sources and Other Free Collections
Note the ‘Logged in from: Test Account’ confirmation. Also note the ‘aginternetwork.net/whalecommwww’ address – this shows that you are logged into AGORA.
If you do not properly login, this reminder will display on the initial page.
Getting Around AGORA• Find and retrieve full-text for a specific article
citation • Find journals (AGORA) or specific articles
(CAB Abstracts) on a particular topic• Use Publisher, Title, Subject and CAB to
search for journal and directly link to publisher’s page

In the ‘All Items’ display for ‘M’, the green box equals access. The white box with the ! equals no access.
In the ‘Accessible Content’ display, there are only 5 Open Access journals available.
The journal will open in a new window of the Publisher’s Journal level page in the Wiley ONLINE LIBRARY

The ‘Accessible Content’ display retrieves a list of
AGORA available journals published by Nature Publishing Group
Scroll down to view the entire list and click on a title.
The ‘All Items’ display also retrieves the list of journals published by
Nature Publishing Group In some cases, the publisher will exclude a
country and this will be noted with the white box and exclamation point.
Retrieving Full-Text Books
Click on ‘A’ in the ‘Books collection’ list – to view all
the available titles
EXAMPLEFind the book: Advances in Potato Chemistry and Technology , 2009 (Elsevier Books)
From the ‘Accessible Content’ list, open Advances in Potato
Chemistry and Technology
You are now in the Elsevier Science Direct site and the
homepage for Advances in Potato Chemistry and Technology
The PDF of Chapter 2, Breeding, Genetics and Cultivar Development,
has been opened.
Also available is a ‘complete list of books’ . This list does not have
hyperlinks to the books.
Remember you can also browse by title, subject or publisher using the
navigation bar.
Retrieving Full-Text Articles
1. Find the journal. Since we know the title, we can use the ‘Journals collection’ ‘C’ list
to find it
EXAMPLE
Find the citation: Craig Roy and Philippe Sansonetti. (2004) “Host–microbe interactions: bacteria: Host–pathogen interactions: interpreting the dialogue.” Current Opinion in Microbiology, 7(1): 1-3
2. Find the journal and click on the title to open journal
