Using Photoshop/photo minipulation

Throughout the construction of my music magazine I was able to develop my skills in Photoshop. For my main image on the cover I minipulated the image slightly to create better lighting that was more suited to my magazine. To do this I used the brightness and contrast tool. I did this to remove some of the dark shadows and to enhance the colours used on the cover image of the magazine, similar to the image of Olly Murs that I looked at in the planning stages of my magazine. I also used the crop tool to frame the image better because the background on the image is the same background used for the front cover therefore it had to be cropped to an A4 size. However, I made some minor adjustments to the image background by using the colonial stamp tool. To use this tool you need to select another area of the image that you want to clone and draw over the part you want to be removed. This meant that the background of the magazine wasn’t distracting and also looked more professional.
