The Purpose of USA Dance

The purpose of our chapter (and our efforts within it) is to make a difference in the lives of

others.

Need a vision

To accomplish this, we must have a vision.

Hub of a WheelWe need to see ourselves as the hub of a wheel,

the center of this effort.

Our MissionOur mission is to improve the quality and the

quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States.

National Governing Body for Dancesport

USA Dance Inc is the National Governing Body for DanceSport in the United States and with 174 chapters throughout the country is also the representative organization for all social

and recreational ballroom and Latin dancers in America, ranging from pre-schoolers to

seniors.

Official member of theUS Olympic Committee

For DanceSport, USA Dance Inc is the official member organization of the United States

Olympic Committee (USOC)

Industry Leader in DanceWith nearly 23,000 U.S. members who

financially support the national programs and with an outreach of more than 200,000 dancers, USA DANCE serves the dance

Increase Our Chapter’s PR

In increase our chapter's PR, we need to work on PR for our chapter or find someone who is good in PR and get them to join and work for

the chapter.

Send out Press Releases

Have someone assigned to PR that has experience. They can send press releases to

various media organizations.

Think Big!

We need to think big on PR

Find influential peoplefinding people who make the news and ride with

them to spread the word.

Keep Our Reputation Untarnished

Everything is transparent and public. The local chapter holds the reputation of the national organization in their hands. We need to keep other organizations to tarnish or diminish our reputation.

Promote our Passion – Dancing!Dancing is our passion.

We need to promote that.

Take the High Road

• We have a leadership role in this country to create good relationships through dancing for all ages.

• There is nothing we do that is negative.• Our mission is all good. • We need to avoid things that drag us down. • We need to take the high road.

Stop Conflicts Quickly!

We need to stop conflicts before they get out of hand. Conflicts drag down the organization.

Refer all questions regarding USA Dance National issue to the PR group for USA Dance.

Don't answer for USA Dance.

Tell the Good PR!We need to always tell the good PR for the

organization and dancing. Media is just a vehicle for transmitting the information to

mass people at one time.

Do Good Things That Make a Difference

If we do things that make a difference and do good and attract attention, we get noticed and

people want to see and hear us.
