It will also allow for other things such as accessing websites, checking email, watching videos, and completing homework, but most importantly it will allow students to communicate with their teachers and access Google Classroom! The following steps below will help your child get started. 1. Power on the Chromebook - make sure you have fully charged the device, or are using the power cord. 2. Click the network settings icon located at the lower right corner of the display display. 3. A list of available networks will appear. Click the desired network option and enter the network password. Click the connect button at the bottom right corner. 4. Click the Add Person button located on the bottom right corner. 5. Enter the student username. PK-1st: this will be the student ID number. Ex. 12345 2nd-12th: student last name + first initial, followed by last 4 numbers of student ID Ex. martinezm2345 Click the Next button on the bottom right corner. 6. Enter the student password. PK-5th: this will be the student ID entire ID number+abc. Ex. 12345abc 6th-12th: Students use their own created passwords. Call 210-945-5473 for a password reset if needed. 7. After you log in, you may need to reset the internet connection. Please repeat steps 2-3 to connect to the internet. Once the connection is re-established, your screen will display the Judson ISD homepage. 8. Remember to Sign Out when done, so that another student may sign in to the chromebook. First, click the lower right button, Then click the Sign out button on the top left of the menu.
