USU Facilities is pleased to
announce JD Nyman as the employ-
ee of the month for December 2016.
JD has worked for Facilities in the
Electrical Shop for two years.
Before coming to Facilities, he
worked for Integrated Electrical
Solutions (IES).
Dave Petersen, Director of
Operations & Maintenance, has
said, “My interactions with JD have
always been very professional and
positive. He is one of the
best employees we have at
communicating with customers and
all involved parties. He’s always
willing and eager to help solve
problems in a timely manner. JD is
very team work oriented and great
to work with. He has a can do, will
do attitude. He does what he says
he’s going to do, when he says he’s
going to do it. You can’t ask for more
than that.”
Howard Bee, Electrical
Shop Foreman and nominator, has
said, “JD exemplifies what an
Employee of the Month JD Nyman — Electrical Shop
December 2016, Volume 359 USU Facilities, Logan, Utah
JD Nyman
employee of USU Facilities should
be. JD has a great attitude every
day. He goes the extra mile in all
that he does. JD has adjusted his
schedule many times in order to
come in early to complete his work
before the customer arrives. He is
confident in his abilities and never
shirks a task.”
JD was born and raised in
Logan. He currently lives in
Wellsville; as so his parents and
sister. JD graduated from
Mountain Crest High School and
then went on to do his Electrical
Apprenticeship at Bridgerland
Applied Technology (BATC),
earning his Electricians Journey-
man License. He also carries on
with continuing education for his
electrician’s license.
JD and his wife, Mindee,
have been married for 15 years.
They have a 12 year old son,
Randon and a 10 year old daughter,
Eastyn. As a family they love
doing anything that has to do with being
outdoors; riding horses, 4 wheeling and
camping. JD loves fishing and hunting
big game and birds. He’s also been
known to grill a mean steak!
JD has traveled to Alaska,
Hawaii and Mexico. If he were to put a
destination on his bucket list, it would be
to travel to Argentina to go dove hunting.
Congratulations to JD on this
well-deserved recognition. The Facilities
Organization is so happy to have him as
part of the team!
