USU Facilities, Logan, Utah December 2016, Volume … License. He also carries on with ... 2 cups...

USU Facilities is pleased to announce JD Nyman as the employ- ee of the month for December 2016. JD has worked for Facilities in the Electrical Shop for two years. Before coming to Facilities, he worked for Integrated Electrical Solutions (IES). Dave Petersen, Director of Operations & Maintenance, has said, “My interactions with JD have always been very professional and positive. He is one of the best employees we have at communicating with customers and all involved parties. He’s always willing and eager to help solve problems in a timely manner. JD is very team work oriented and great to work with. He has a can do, will do attitude. He does what he says he’s going to do, when he says he’s going to do it. You can’t ask for more than that.” Howard Bee, Electrical Shop Foreman and nominator, has said, “JD exemplifies what an Employee of the Month JD Nyman — Electrical Shop December 2016, Volume 359 USU Facilities, Logan, Utah JD Nyman employee of USU Facilities should be. JD has a great attitude every day. He goes the extra mile in all that he does. JD has adjusted his schedule many times in order to come in early to complete his work before the customer arrives. He is confident in his abilities and never shirks a task.” JD was born and raised in Logan. He currently lives in Wellsville; as so his parents and sister. JD graduated from Mountain Crest High School and then went on to do his Electrical Apprenticeship at Bridgerland Applied Technology (BATC), earning his Electricians Journey- man License. He also carries on with continuing education for his electrician’s license. JD and his wife, Mindee, have been married for 15 years. They have a 12 year old son, Randon and a 10 year old daughter, Eastyn. As a family they love doing anything that has to do with being outdoors; riding horses, 4 wheeling and camping. JD loves fishing and hunting big game and birds. He’s also been known to grill a mean steak! JD has traveled to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico. If he were to put a destination on his bucket list, it would be to travel to Argentina to go dove hunting. Congratulations to JD on this well-deserved recognition. The Facilities Organization is so happy to have him as part of the team! JD has worked for Facilities in the

Peach Dump Cake

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix

1 stick of butter

2 cans of peaches

Instructions 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2. Grease a 13 X 9­inch pan

3. Dump the peaches and juice into the pan

4. Pour the cake mix evenly over the peaches

5. Cut the butter into small pats and arrange evenly over the cake mix

6. Bake for 35 to 50 minutes, or until the peaches are bubbly

and the top is brown

Overnight Cinnamon Apple

Baked French Toast

Ingredients

CASSEROLE 1 lb. loaf Sourdough Or French Bread, cut into chunks

3 cups chopped apples (2 large apples)

8 large eggs

2 cups milk

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar, unpacked

2 tbsp. vanilla extract

1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

STREUSEL TOPPING

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp apple pie spice

1/2 cup salted butter, cut into pieces

Instructions 1. Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish

2. Combine the bread chunks and chopped apples and lay in an even

layer in the bottom of the dish

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients, minus the

streusel, and pour evenly over bread. Cover the casserole and store in the

fridge overnight

4. When ready to bake the casserole, preheat the oven to 350°F

5. Bake the casserole for about 35-40 minutes

6. While casserole bakes, in another bowl, combine the dry ingredients for

the streusel. Add the butter and mash into the dry mixture until it forms a

crumbly mixture

7. Remove the casserole from the oven and crumble the streusel over the

top of the casserole

8. Continue baking casserole for about 5 minutes, or until the streusel is

melted over the top

9. Serve the casserole warm with syrup
