Incumbents prepare statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participate in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. Distinguishing Characteristics The Data Analyst II is distinguished from the Data Analyst I in that incumbents in the II level perform more complex data analysis. Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities This classification has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Functions 1. Maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in the development and implementation of measurement systems. 2. Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports. 3. Maintains computerized collection and tracking of relevant data. 4. Maintains appropriate records of research methods and results. 5. Designs and/or develops specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting of data, as appropriate. 6. Utilizes specified statistical software to analyze and interpret research data. 7. Serves as a liaison with outside departments. 8. Submits written and/or oral reports as requested. 1

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. Fundamental Abilities
