vide the Uttaranchal University Act 2012

of Uttarakhand.

merger of Law College Dehradun (LCD),

Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) and

Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM).

Law College Dehradun was set up in 2002. This is

the first independent Law College in the State of

Uttarakhand and pioneered the B.A.LL.B. five year

integrated course in Northern India. Law College

Dehradun has become a niche centre of learning

in legal studies. Its alumni have done their college

proud by securing high positions in the university

examination and established themselves in

successful careers, by practising in the Apex

Court of the country, various high courts and

district courts. Many of its students have qualified
