The seminar opened with an inter- religious prayer service. The Chief Guest of the day was Padma Shri Sr. Sudha Varghese, a well- known Social Worker. The College Principal Fr. Thomas Perumalil welcomed the chief guest and presented a brief sketch on women's role in building the society. In her speech, the Chief Guest Padma Shri Sr. Sudha Varghese said, "Be bold for a Change.” She started the talk with different examples of female abuse presently happening in the society. She said women should not be silent now, they have to raise their voice against any kind of injustice and violence at home or workplace. She said, “It's important to realize the inner strength within women, and that itself can modify the thinking and working style of the society. Women should not tolerate domestic violence, sexual abuse, and political parties should stand against such injustice done to women.” Women have to fight to make their own identity, to find a correct place in the society. In the second session of the day, the trainees were given time to express their talent and views in the form of pictures by drawing. A drawing competition was conducted on this occasion. Later the four different groups of the college presented skits concerning women issues. The theme of Gandhi House was “Kyun kare hum Compromise,” Tagore House presented, “Meri Kahani,” Zakir House, “Beti Bachao” and Aurobindo House “Nari Ki Pahachan.” There was Mashal Jyoti and Oath taking for building a better, just, honest society free of corruption, dowry, infanticide and violence against women. The song Hum Honge Kamyab Ek Din was sung by everyone at the end of the programme. Dr. Madhu Singh and Mr. Deep Kumar, the faculty members of St. Xavier College of Education, presented a short input session for the children explaining the various ways to keep himself clean. Dr. Madhu Singh was the main speaker who taught the children importance of having good hygiene and keeping themselves clean and safe from various sicknesses. They were even taught the different steps of washing hands, and how to serve food to the guests at home. It was an interactive session in which these non-formal school children were giving the answers related to the hygiene. Children actively took part in the programme and pledged to keep their surroundings clean and encourage others too. Speaking on occasion Sr. Mabel CJ, thanked the members of the Association for their generosity and the good programme. Dr. Marie D’Cruze (President), Deep Kumar (Secretary), and Angela Anjana member of the Alumni Association were at the programme. Children were given a study kit too. Be Bold for a Change: Sr.Sudha Varghese106th International Women's Day was celebrated in the

In her speech, the Chief Guest Padma Shri Sr. Sudha Varghese said, "Be bold for a Change.” She started the talk with different examples of female abuse presently happening in the society. and declaration of the meet open. The March Past was led by College Captain followed by the 4 house Captains of Gandhi House, Aurobindo House, Tagore House and Zakir House.

The Chief Guest took the salute of the march past and declared the meet open. The Principal of the College Prof. (Fr.) Thomas Perumalil, S.J. welcomed the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour, all the other Principals of various schools of Patna and the invited guests and parents of the college students. The teacher-trainees, ladies and gents, put in a spirited effort and showed great enthusiasm in all the track and field

events that followed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sports items.Magdali Beck in the Girls’ Group and Anuranjan Ekka in Boys Group were declared Overall individual champions.

Aurobindo House walked away with the Championship shield.The winners of the day received their prizes and certificates from the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Fr. Rector, XTTI, Patna, Fr.

Edison J. Amstrong, Principal, St. Michael’s High School, Patna, Fr. Joe Maripuram S.J., Rector SXCE, and Prof. Preeti Sinha.

Blood Donation Camp at SXCE, PatnaA blood donation camp was organized in the College for the

M.Ed. and B.Ed trainees of Part-1 and Part-2. This blood donation was organized with the coordination of HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL, Kurji. Holy Family Hospital team was headed by Dr. Reena Ranjan, Medical Officer In-charge. In the technical team Sr. Sunita, Niraj, Ravi, Neeraj Kumar, Prabhat, Kajal, Arohi, and Manoj assisted in checking the blood group, finding out the hemoglobin and taking the blood. Dr. Reena did the entire interrogation and checked if the person was fit to donate blood or not.

The blood sample was first taken, and then B.P, Hemoglobin and Blood Group were checked. All those found fit were allowed to donate blood. In total 45 trainees had registered for blood donation from which 32 of them were found fit and donated blood.

A day log Seminar was conducted in the college on 12-04-12017 by the M.Ed. scholars of 2nd year (M.Ed. 15-17). The topic of the seminar was “Trends in EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION IN EDUCATION”. The seminar was conducted under the guidance of the Principal Thomas Perumalil.

The morning session began with the inaugural session in which prayer service was conducted. The lighting of the lamp was done by Fr. Thomas Perumalil, joined by faculty members. Father Thomas Perumalil welcomed the audience and appreciated the efforts of the students. The keynote address was delivered by Sana Fatima which focused on the immediate need for educational managers so that teachers are left free to focus on teaching.

The feedback was given by Dr. Vikaramjit Singh and the concluding remark was given by Dr. Madhu Singh. The certificate distribution was done at the end of the 3rd session. The coordinators of the seminar were Noushia Tabassum, Sana Fatima, and Abhishek Bajpayee.
