During 2012, the Foundation made two gifts individuals for purposes of meeting

basic needs of the individuals during a time of temporary distress within the meaning of

Reg Section 53.4945-4(a)(3)(i). The first was a gift of $1000 to a family in Shelby,

Montana that lost its home in a fire. The second was a gift of $500 to a family in Butte,Montana that lost its home just prior to Christmas in both cases, the Foundation exertedexpenditure responsibility to ensure that the funds were only used for purposes ofreplacing necessities of the families and received reports and maintains records regardingthe direct use of the funds for charitable purposes.

During 2012, the Foundation made one gift to an individual to cover basic livingneeds of indigent and needy families within the meaning of Reg Section 53.4945-4(a)(3)(i). The gift was in the amount of $500 and the Foundation received reports andmaintains records regarding the direct use of the funds for such purpose.
