The following article is from the message entitled, “LORD, Open my Eyes (That I May See.)” Part II This message was delivered by: Pastor John Hagger III on Sunday, February 28, 2010 Jeremiah 1:4-12 (Amplified Bible) 4 Then the word of the Lord came to me [Jeremiah], saying, 5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My cho- sen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrat- ing you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. (A ) 6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth. (B ) 7 But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Be not afraid of them [their faces], for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. 9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. 11 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree [the em- blem of alertness and activity, blos- soming in late winter]. 12 Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it. The Lord is saying don’t be afraid. Don’t say I am too young or too old. Don’t even say you don’t have the time. He is saying don’t even be afraid of them, the ones whom you have ministered to in the past. Don’t even be afraid of their faces, because God is with you. The Word is saying God is with you to deliver you through your ministry of reconciliation. A good example is the laying on of hands. When I lay hands on you, the healing virtue from God comes through me to you. It has to come through me from God, because I am not the healer. In the process of healing you, I am in the same process being healed in my body. As you bring hope, health, and deliverance to someone else, that same virtue will come through you and deliver you. God is telling this church to evangel- ize! God is telling the church to reach the unreached, tell the untold, and set the captives free. Do not fear persecution, because God is with you. This is God’s plan to deliver you and this church. God showed me something in 1997 that I had never seen or heard preached before. In the Jewish Cal- endar, the first month of the year is April. We all know that Jesus was a Jew and he was born in a Jewish nation. When God spoke to me about the New Year, he said to Celebrate the Passover. We used to celebrate the Passover. We would burn debts in a big barrel and have a big celebra- tion. We started celebrating Pass- over in 1998. Ever since then, we have been having breakthrough after breakthrough. Now is the beginning of the fullness of time for Victory to Victory. God is asking what do you see? If you see it, you can possess it! Whatever you can’t see, you can’t possess. If you see yourself blessed, you will be blessed. If you see success, you will be successful. What you can see, you can possess. If God wants to set a precedence with you, he can. Whenever you have a question of how can this be? How can this happen? IT’S THE HOLY GHOST! Stop saying that sickness and heart disease run in my family. When you became born again, you became part of a royal family. You have royal blood flowing through your veins. God can set a prece- dence with you, to stop sickness from entering into your household, to stop all of the habitual diseases which have been plaguing your fam- ily for years. You can put a stop to it! Jeremiah 1:10-12 (Amplified Bible)

11Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree [the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter].

12Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.

Church, you are going to have to say what God says about yourself and your situation. Say what the bible says about you. Say that you are blessed. Say that you are the head and not the tail. Say that you are blessed and cannot be cursed. The Lord is saying, “I am watching over my word to perform my word in your life.” What you are believing for is going to get done! No one expects anything to blossom in late winter. Winter starts December 21st and ends March 19th. Late Winter is the first two-thirds of March.

Church, Victory to Victory is Blossoming in late winter. We may have been tossed to and fro previ-ously, but we are done with that season. Now is the beginning of the fullness of time. God wants this church ready for the beginning of our new year, April 1, 2010. He wants you in position and ready. He wants this church in the spirit of one-ness and ready for the start of 2010.

Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!

Today when I say „we made it‟, I mean that we stomped on the devil‟s head and came out VICTO-RIOUSLY! We pray that you are continually blessed and over-whelmed by the goodness, faithfulness and generosity of God each and every day. Again, because of our persistent faith and prayers, and keeping the word of God as the final authority in our lives, the God of the Break-through has been able to break forth on our behalf and in no small manner. Praise God, He is faithful to the faith-ful and has given us the vic-tory. But again, I warn you not to get relaxed, complacent or begin to chill out just yet for we still have a ways to go. It is still CRUNCH TIME! We are still talking about ‘Persevering to the End’. We can never allow the enemy to come in with his quitting attitude, dramatic sideshows, or subtle dis-tractions. This mean that we have to ensure we stay in the perfect will of God for our lives and do what God has called us to do. It also means we must become a people who will purpose in our heart to go the distance. We can-not quit, cave in, give up, or be-come distracted by the cares of this world. As we begin the fourth month of 2010, (which, by the way is the beginning of Victory to Victory Church brand new year), there‟s a scripture that continues to resonate in my spirit and it is found in I Peter 1:8-9. It says, “Without having seen Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glori-ous (triumphant, heavenly)

joy. [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

Church, this is an awe-some scrip-ture that Pe-ter, an apos-tle (a special messenger) of Jesus wrote to the believers that had been dispersed and scattered

abroad. It is a powerful word of encouragement to them and it still holds true for us today. We have not seen our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we have not seen Him in our present and current lives, but we believe in Him and in every word of this book, the Bible. They did not have all of the word at that time. They only had a portion of what we got and they believed. If they had not been strong believers, Peter never would have written the passage of scripture he wrote reaf-firming their strong faith. Believers in Christ Jesus, I am just thrilled and overwhelmed with inex-pressible and unspeakable joy at how the Lord brought us out of the clutches of the enemy. Every time the enemy thought we were down for the count, we rose up again, and mightier than before all because God, the Father was on our side.

As your spiritual mom, I saw you arrive at the hour of prayer in a timely manner week after week. I watched how you were undeterred week after week. I heard you pray

powerfully and fervently week after week and in so doing, wrapping the word of God around every re-quest; every petition; every barrier, every delay…believing and knowing that according to Mark 11:23 „you can have whatsoever you say‟. I praise and thank God that at the same time we were praying and believing and trusting in Abba Fa-ther, we were receiving the result, the outcome, the consummation of our faith. It kind of reminds me of the powerful words spoken by the angel in Daniel 10:12 when he said, “Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble your-self before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words.” I believe with all that is within me that God heard our cry from the very first day we began to pray the prayer petitions after Hurricane Ike. And has delivered us victori-ously and triumphantly as a conse-quence of our words. I believe that the delay only has made us stronger, bigger, better and more full of faith!

In conclusion, church, I admonish you to walk more in the love of God now than ever before; and hold on to the promises of God like you have never held on be-fore. The God we serve is faithful. Whatever He has promised you, He is well able to perform. And again, I say, „GOD PAYS BIG‟. Until the next time, continue to let Abba Fa-ther find faithfulness and persever-ance in you.

Verse 8- the Lord has sworn by His right hand, and by His mighty arm: Surely I will not prosper you and give you money and financial wealth to be taken by our enemies and [the invading sons of] aliens shall not drink of my new wine for which I have toiled.

Verse 9- But we who have gathered it shall eat, partake of, and enjoy it, and praise the lord; and we who have brought in the vintage shall drink it [at the feasts celebrated] in the courts of this (God’s) sanctuary- (we) the temple of God’s holiness.

Verse 12- And they shall call Victory to Victory Church, the Holy people, the Redeemed of the Lord. And we shall be called, Sought out and sought after, the city, the people, and the church no longer deserted

RULES FOR PRAYER

AND FASTING

On your 24-hour fasting day,

pray in the spirit with a partner. If

you are married, then your

spouse is your partner. If you are

single, then a) a child can be your

partner or b) find someone who is

fasting on the same day as you to

be your partner; a lady with a

lady and a man with a man. You

may pray at home, at the Out-

reach in the Prayer Room or on

the phone. The goal is to pray for

one hour during your 24-hour

fasting period;

Just Start Where You Are.

Prayer Requests and Praise Reports We also would like the opportunity to agree with you in prayer for circumstances

you are facing or people and situations you are already standing for in faith. Please

use the bottom portion of this form to write your prayer requests or to share your

praise reports.

Put cut out and return to Minister Naomi Dodd.

Pastor is

asking that

members

come, at any

time, and pray over our

property as we are building

our replacement facility.

He asks that we pray for

the workers that will be on

our property and pray that

all phases of construction

proceed smoothly. No mis-

haps, no hindrances, no

blockades, and hot dry

weather.
