What is VR?
A technology or way to produce an Environment that is
● Artificial (virtual) and mostly digital
● Perceived via a display that (mostly) fills your senses.
● Immersive (fully engaging)
● Interactive
● Conveys a sense of presence, of being there.
● Makes certain spatial narratives possible
VR for Design
● Academic interest since 1990
● Certain manufacturers using VR from 2000ish. Automobiles.
● Retrofit engineering VR techniques to the construction industry. Works, but expensive.

Today● Everybody has a Rift or at least a cardboard.
● New generation of HMDs coming out soon.
● Customers are asking for VR
● CAVEs are still seen as expensive and they don't need to be.
● Only the buyer/customers have money. Builders kind of do. Architects are dirt poor.
● But the Architects have to be on your side or your dead.
