1974: Västkustfilé founded by Stig Hansson & Boris Wiman in Bua, 20 km north of Varberg

1982: New fillet factory built. Västkustfilé commences production of frozen products

1991: Tord Hansson, brother of Stig Hansson acquires co-founder Boris Wiman’s shares. Västkustfilébecomes a family owned business

1999: Agreement to rent new premises in Varberg

2003: Varbergpremises acquired

2004: Investment in new machinery enables further processing of fish products

2007: New production line for foodservice introduced; capacity more than triples

2009: Ready-to-eat concept introduced

2010: Investment in automated production line for processing and packaging of retail products

2011: Investments in new machinery enable even higher level of processing
