To calibrate the robotic controller, you will align it to a zero position on the calibration alignment control panel. In itself, this is not a difficult task. Most technicians agree that the steps are easy to perform.

The challenge is the physical space in which you need to work to get at the alignment control panel.

This space is by design small, and not easy to access.

That’s why we treat this procedure a bit differently…

Because you cannot access procedures or job aids in the physical space where alignment is done, and because you may not have assistance at the time you need to make the alignment….

It’s a good idea to MEMORIZE this short procedure.

This is not ideal, but it works. This short segment will help you remember the five easy procedure steps.

Page 4: Validated Learning Object. To calibrate the robotic controller, you will align it to a zero position on the calibration alignment control panel. In itself,

1 Align the calibration dial pointer with the alignment point on the calibration housing.

2 Set the alignment input mode from neutral to line.

3 Set the indicator control to the zero position (exactly).

4. Check the alignment range to be sure it is in the green range.

5. Switch the alignment input mode back, from line to neutral.

These are the five steps to calibrate the robotic controller:
