CONTENTS:2016 has been a very positive year for the development of mechanisation of agriculture. AGCO’s global strategy for product planning and distribution is starting to bear fruit. Through their four brands Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra and Challenger they plan to have a machine for every purpose across the whole horse power range from the highly simplified to the most advanced technology, distributed efficiently through a dealer network which can provide first class service.

Fendt, their technological leading brand has launched the 1000 series tractors, the 1050 being the largest with 500hp in a conventional style wheel tractor, which is packed with features to enable the power to be transmitted to the ground. VarioGrip, which automatically manages tyre pressures for optimum grip, backed up by the all new VarioDrive transmission taking care of variable torque delivery between front and rear axles, also maximising the grip available. Our demonstration tractor is due in any day; contact your local representative or Fendt Brand Manager Paul Kettle for more information.

Massey Ferguson has gone global with a range of tractors to be produced in factories around the world. This highly simple to operate, but thoroughly modern designed range of cost effective tractors starts with the MF4700’s up to 90hp; which we have in stock now with a 4709 and loader available for demonstration. MF 5700’s up to 110hp to be introduced spring 2017 with larger MF6700’s models following during the year up to 135hp. To assist with the introduction of these new models and the progress of all Massey Ferguson products, we have promoted Andrew Sherriff to the position of Massey Ferguson Brand Manager. He will be pleased to hear from you as MF now have the most comprehensive range of tractors, available from 19hp to 390hp, with a model to suit all tasks and situations.

We are delighted to have been awarded the Challenger franchise for the territory covered by our Shefford depot and are investing in the facilities to support this excellent product, and appoint staff to give the service, back up, parts supply and sales assistance at that depot. Martin Turner, newly appointed sales specialist for Challenger and Fendt, has joined to work alongside our Challenger Brand Manager, Clive Barber. Whilst Graham Coy service technician for Challenger at Shefford brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the Challenger product. Challenger have also been busy with new products adding a range of trailed sprayers to the class leading, self-propelled Rogator.

Valtra sales are ahead of our expectations with the recently introduced N4 and T4 model ranges proving

very popular, reliable and with excellent operator comfort. We welcome the many new customers as a result of this growing franchise. Martin Jarvis, Valtra Brand Manager is on hand to assist with your enquiries for all Valtra products.

As part of AGCO’s ongoing distribution strategy, all our depots will continue to provide sales, parts and service functions for all brands, however, Belton will become our centre of excellence for Massey Ferguson while Holbeach will serve the role for Fendt and Valtra, providing the appropriate focus for these growing ranges of products.

Caterpillar launches the new D series range of telehandlers at LAMMA 2017, which features an all new cab and controls, with much improved visibility and precision. Starting with the TH306D (3ton 6metre) through the TH357D (3.5ton 7m) to TH408D (4ton 8metre) and finally the TH3510D (3.5ton 10metre – 3 stage boom) machines. It’s great to have numbers that actually mean something! There will be a warm welcome for everyone on the Caterpillar stand at LAMMA 2017. Arrange your demonstration with the sales team now.

Kuhn have not been left behind with product development either. New state of the art fertiliser broadcasters with EMC technology, and new power harrows: six and eight metre hydraulic folding machines with hydraulic depth control and levelling boards are all available for delivery spring 2017.

Away from agriculture Kubota market leading compact tractors have been selling very well and we have strengthened our horticultural product offering with Timberwolf chippers, and Balfor log processing equipment, speak to our Horticultural & Groundscare specialists Les Butters and Guy Ward for more information on these excellent new ranges.

Ecologically friendly motoring continues to gain popularity and the Mitsubishi PHEV remains market leader in this sector for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, with the current model further increasing the comfort, style and performance – test drive one today at Belton. SsangYong have recently launched the Musso – a full commercial double-cab pickup, with car-like ride quality and suspension, with 5 year limitless mileage and excellent value; available at Belton and Horncastle depots.
