Signal Hill equips young people to become thriving in- fluencers who value every person. We do this by providing dy- namic and relevant presentations, work- shops, and support resources for ele- mentary and high school students. Value Project Presentations Three things that make our presentations unique: 1. Our presentations take an upstream approach to today’s issues Many young people struggle with self-worth, not knowing the truth that their val- ue is unconditional and cannot be earned or taken away. We believe that if we can help them see this truth, problems like cyberbullying, self-harm, and substance addiction will begin to take care of themselves. 2. We use stories, humor, and strengths-based communication to inspire hope and resiliency One of the most effective way to educate young people is through sharing stories. This is why all our presentations are filled with personal stories from the lives of our presenters. We also use humor to engage students and communicate with strengths-based language to help see their own agency and potential. 3. Our content checks off your boxes for the new B.C. Curriculum require- ments We designed our presentations to help faculty achieve the province’s new curricu- lum requirements. Our talks are especially well-positioned to address the Person- al and Social Core Competencies, as well as the Big Ideas, Curricular Competen- cies, and Content for Health & Physical Education and Career/Career-Life Ed. Good things to know Our talks are geared toward assem- blies and large groups. They are typi- cally 45-60 minutes long — designed to fit neatly inside a school block.
