During La Nit de L’Art this year, Capellini will show us an installa-

tion, full of harmony and subtlety, an intervention in the terrace

where he includes the architectural structure together with the

sculpture, which creates a space in the form of a “tree canopy”

floors, walls and air. The subject is the tree of life, since the

branches - constructed in iron - will be across together with nests

and glass bird feeders designed by the same artist. Thus, the light

passes through the iron providing various points of illumination

on the surface. With respect to the previous work, where the artist

lived in a constant drawing, here the book has the force of a living

organism, a system, a concept designed from biology, Wagensberg

(1948) “complexity and uncertainty.”

The multidisciplinary artist, Claudio Capellini (1957), amazed us

last year with his work “La Realidad es un Consenso” (Reality is

a Consensus). A world made of drawings where reality was incom-

prehensible. As we moved from one point, it became deformed.

Another image became meaningless, or transformed into another.

The understanding of reality is a consensus on how things are. An

agreement on the point from which we look, feeling the reality get

distorted with every step we take. In this case, the artist opened

his doors making a sample of his own home. Proposing we live in his

drawing, walking through the different views of each corner. “We

believe that everything is given, and there’s really nothing, it’s all

to build,” says Capellini.

El artista multidisciplinar, Claudio Capellini (1957), ya nos dejó el año

pasado patidifusos con su obra “La Realidad es un Consenso”. Un

mundo hecho dibujo donde la realidad se hizo incomprensible. A medida

que nos movíamos de ese punto, éste se deformaba. Se convertía en otra

imagen sin sentido, o se transformaba en otra. La comprensión de la re-

alidad es un consenso de cómo son las cosas. Un acuerdo sobre el punto

desde el cual mirar, sintiendo como la realidad va distorsionándose a

cada paso que damos. En este caso, el artista nos abrió las puertas

ofreciéndonos entrar en su propio hogar. Proponiéndonos qué habitáse-

mos en su dibujo y que recorriéramos los distintos puntos de vista desde

cada uno de los rincones. ‘Creemos que está todo dado, y realmente no

hay nada, está todo por construir’, afirma Capellini.

Durante La Nit de L’Art de éste año, Capellini nos hará muestra de una

instalación única, llena de armonía y sutileza, una intervención en

la terraza donde queda incluido el uso arquitectónico de la obra y la

escultura, que se plantea unida a la intervención de los muros

generando un espacio en forma de “copa de árbol” suelo, paredes y

aire. La temática es el árbol de la vida, ya que las ramas – construidas

en hierro – irán caladas conjuntamente con nidos y comederos de

pájaros creados en vidrio y diseñados por el mismo artista. De esta

forma, la luz atraviesa el hierro proporcionando diversos puntos de ilu-

minación sobre la superficie. Con respecto al trabajo anterior, donde

el artista vivió en un dibujo constante, aquí la obra posee la fuerza de

un organismo vivo, un sistema, un concepto pensado desde la biología,

Wagensberg (1948) “complejidad e incertidumbre”.

Once upon a time in a house in Génova, known by everyone in the

village, it was said that they could see all kinds of musical notes

suspended in the sky … it was so much admired that it took on

the name; “La Casa de Música” (The House of Music). Oso Leone

are: Xavi Marín and Colombàs (guitars, vocals and percussion) and

they are joined by: Ruspell (rhodes, piano, synthesizers, program-

mings), Marcos Gonzalez (bass, electric guitars) and Jonathan Mills

(percussion, drums). They are currently finishing their first work

produced by Ruspell and recorded entirely in The House of Music.

What began as a duo with very simplified songs grew in the studio

as they added subtle and meaningful components that made the

songs rest on a solid foundation with evolving and psychedelic

pitches. That is the basis for Oso Leone’s music – gentle with

catchy progressive trends. What in the first few seconds sounds

like folk may end up getting you up and out of your chair. Two very

melodic voices fill as the eternal love in their lyrics talk of love as

an innocent and vulnerable state, of fantastic tales conscious of

the environment that surrounds us.

Érase una vez una casa en Génova conocida por todo el pueblo. Se

decía, que se había llegado a ver todo tipo de notas musicales sus-

pendidas en el cielo… fue tanta la admiración causada que se quedó

con el nombre de; “La Casa de Música”. Oso Leone son; Xavi Marín

y Paco Colombàs (guitarras, voces y percusión) y junto al grupo se

unen; Ruspell (rhodes, piano, sintetizadores, programaciones), Mar-

cos González (bajo, guitarras eléctricas) y Jonathan Mills (percusión,

bateria). Actualmente se encuentran terminando su primer trabajo

grabado íntegramente en La Casa de Música y producido por Ruspell.

Lo que empezó siendo un dueto con canciones muy simplificadas,

al hacerlas sonar en el estudio apostaron por añadir componentes

sutiles y con sentido que hacen que las canciones se apoyen sobre

una base sólida con alturas psicodélicas y envolventes. Eso es lo

que trata la música de Oso Leone, la delicadeza y una tendencia

progresiva que atrapa. Lo que en los primeros segundos suena a folk

puede terminar levantándote del sillón. Dos voces muy melódicas que

empastan como el amor eterno, hablan en sus canciones del amor

como estado inocente y vulnerable, de relatos fantásticos teniendo

muy en cuenta el medio ambiente que nos rodea.
