on March 22nd, theAnabaptist History classvisited the Greek Orthodox.Church along Hershey Ave.We arrived at 9::45 a.m.and entered the ch\LrCh a-long with numerous otherchurchgoers. j5 strangemonotone singing was heardas we walked through thereligious education de-partment anc\ to the narthexwhichwas just outside thesanctuary. They Li.i can-dles and placed them in alarge candle holder andthen kissed an Icon. Wewere then introduced tothe priest's wife who ex-plained the symbolism thatthe church had and the manypictures which were paint-ed on the front wall and

ceiling.we were told that

quite a number of peopleattending the church spokeGreek as their only lan-guage and that practicallyeveryone was well versedin the language. Conse-quently half of the servicewas conductec± in Greek.

We had the privilegeof sitting in the balconyso we could observe theservicebetter. The sanc-tuary was hazy with smokefrom the huge amount ofincense they burn. The1_±turdy was very formalwhich included singing thescriptures insteed ofreading them. The wholeservice lasted over oneand ahalfhours with peo-

pie coming and going asthey pleased 9 depending Onwhich part of the servicethey wanted to attend.

Itwas interesting tonote that every time theTrinitywas mentioned, thepeople would cross them-selves out of respect. Al-so, each Sunday they gothrough the life of Christin the service.

It was enjoyable andvery eye-opening for us tovisit another kind ofchurch and observe how theyworshipped the same God aswe do. But I'm sure thatall of us who went, canbetter appreciate the fel-lowship that we have in ouro\^m congregations.

Seniors Puzzled By Disguised Food

With the savory aromaof "mysterious" food com-ing from the kitchen, weseniors eagerly anticipa-bed a fun filled eveningfollowing school on March24±b. It was time for a-nother one of our socialsand this time wewere head-ed for a big surprise; amystery supper!

Immedlately afterschool we were free to doas we pleased until fouro'clock, at which time wemet in the gym. A coupleof the guys helped set upthe volleyball net and weplayed hard and'vigorouslyfor about an hour. Bythen we were thoroughlyfamished and ready forour supper. But first wewere put to work fillingou.t a college exam. Mostof us passed that so weheaded on-dorm to -|thetypLnq room to wait forLnstruct±ons and our men-us. The paper table-cloth proved to be a fas-cination and an excellentdrawing pad to some of usas we waited.

O\1r menus LncLuc\ec\such items as Snake'sTongue (fork) , Irishpearls (peas), Balaam's

Donkey' s Delight (carrots)and, stacks (1asagna) plusmany more.

Following the delical, ious food and many laughswe watched the film E±g.Red. This thrilling story5f-a boy and his greatlove for a big red dog heldour attention right up tothe enc1.

Another surprisesuceeded the film. We wereserved blueberry pie andice cream before headinghome. -Joy Brenneman

Hullo everyone,i mac\e up my mind

and everything is offic-ial. I'mcomingback toFMH next year. Peoplehave been treating merather nicely since themice massacre so I guessit's safe to stay. Ihanded my application toMrs. Ressler and she wasso thrilled that she hungit up on the office win-dow. That is where allthe important papers areposted.

I almost went withChorale 6n their tour.I was in the locker roomsbrowsing around thesuitcases and garmentbags when I spied onethatwas open. I peekedinside and accidentallyfell in but the materialsinside were soft so Ididn't hurt myself.SoorL, however,` I grewhungry. I bedyan rum-maging around and I foundsome snacks. After ex-periencing a pleasurablehour I began to getsticky. To my dismay Idiscovered that I wassitting in a. pool ofhairspray. There wereother kinds of glue intherealso. I'mnot surebut it loc*ed like a signsaid Face Creme. I de-cided then lthat I wouldnot go anywhere near

hairspray and glue or Imight get stucrd in NewYork City. I disappearedfrom that room aS quick-ly as possible.

CPR is so puzzlingto me. I don't know ifthe students love or hatethose Anhies. Sometimesth'ey hit them, then theywill kiss thembut pinchtheir noses. When theysettle their emotions, maybe then the Ann±eswillrespond. That willbe fun to watch.

During Spirit Weekbefore I discovered thatitwas the students thatwere wearing pins Ithought I was living mylast day. It soundedexactly like an army ofcats with bells was in-vading the school. Therattling of tin wasterrifyingly clangorousand as I was runningfrom it I saw the SpiritWeek bulletin whichhailed that day as pinclay. Then I was con-soled. So now that Iendured that, I believeI deserve a genuinemetal for my courage.
