Wheel locking kits
Made from lightweight, temperedcarbon manganese steel, withhardened drill-proof heads, thesecorrosion-free bolts are the perfectway to protect your alloy wheels from theft. Once fitted, they are totallymaintenance-free and can only be locked or unlocked using theindividual master key supplied. They have earned a Sold Secure Gold rating and are Thatcham testedand passed.
Steering wheel security bar
Approved to Thatcham Category 3, the security bar is a highly visibledeterrent. Dual lock points clampedaround the spoke of the steeringwheel prevent the vehicle from beingsteered. Made from super hardenedsteel with a 10,000 variation, anti-drilllock, the security bar is easy to fit andcomes with a lifetime guarantee.
MetaSystem alarms
Designed especially to suit Vauxhallvehicles, these systems protect theinterior, boot/tailgate, bonnet anddoors by monitoring various sensorsand switches – and will work even ifthe vehicle’s own battery is flat or thewires to the alarm are cut. A smallflashing LED light acts as a deterrent,indicating that the vehicle has asecurity device fitted.
Most current Vauxhall cars are fittedwith a Thatcham Category 2 engineimmobiliser as standard, and addingone of these MetaSystem alarmsupgrades this to full Category 1 status.
Depending on the model selected, the alarm can be set/disarmed either by remote control transmitters(two supplied), or via your existingVauxhall remote control key. In addition, the system will allowremote window closure on vehiclesequipped with factory-fittedelectrically operated windows.
Vauxhall works closely with the insurance industry’s own
research centre at Thatcham to improve anti-theft measures
and reduce insurance costs, resulting in virtually every new
Vauxhall having an ‘E’ suffix to its insurance group rating,
indicating that it exceeds security requirements.
This high level of security can be supplemented by fitting
Thatcham-compliant Vauxhall security accessories, which
can lead to discounted insurance premiums.

Vauxhall offers a range of four child seats designed to fit perfectly
in Vauxhall vehicles. The seats incorporate the latest design
features and technology to provide optimum safety and comfort
for children of all ages. All Vauxhall child seats are quick and easy
to install and remove using a standard three-point lap and
diagonal seatbelt.
Two of these child seats can also be installed using ISOFIX –
a worldwide standard fitting system found in many vehicles,
including a wide selection of Vauxhall models. Compatible child
seats simply click onto the ISOFIX mounting points engineered in
the car, creating a rigid link between the child seat and the vehicle.
The perfect fit
Every child seat should be the correct size for your child,
properly fitted and correctly positioned in the front or rear seat.
As your child grows, you may need two or more seats in their
early years, and they can remain in a suitable seat until they
weigh 36kg – usually around 12 years. It’s important to remember
that the suitability of a seat is determined by your child’s weight –
not their age.
All Vauxhall child seats meet and exceed the highest EU safety
standard – ECE R44 03. And for convenience and long life, they all
feature removable and washable covers.

Vauxhall TOPSAFE ISOFIX*with transponder(0-18kg/birth to 4 years)
This innovative seat can be used onthe front passenger’s seat of mostnew Vauxhall models – provided thevehicle is equipped with the factory-fitoption of automatic seat occupancydetection system. The built-intransponder communicates with thedetection system to deactivate thefront passenger’s airbag(s). Can beused on the rear seat, with or withoutISOFIX mounting points. For new-born babies up to 6kg, you MUST usethe baby cradle insert available atadditional cost (picture 5).

Vauxhall DUO ISOFIX(9-18kg/9 months to 4 years)
This forward-facing child seat can beinstalled on the rear seat in vehiclesfitted with the ISOFIX system. It alsofits in the rear seat of vehicles withoutISOFIX connections, using a standardthree-point lap and diagonal seatbelt.Optimal side impact protection limitsthe lateral movement of a child’s head in a crash.
Vauxhall KID(15-36kg/4 to 12 years)
Often a booster cushion and standardthree-point lap and diagonal seatbeltdo not provide sufficient support in a side impact crash. The backrestand adjustable head support of theVauxhall KID child seat provide acomfortable seat with maximum sideimpact protection. The head support isadjustable to eleven height positionsand the anti-slip base ensures theseat is especially secure.

right equipment. Vauxhall offer a choice of two types of
tow bars (as well as single and twin towing electrics) which have
undergone strenuous strength and driving tests to conform to top
European regulations and standards (EC Directive 94/20). Each
ensures you can tow with confidence and in complete safety.
The single electrics power the rear lights on a caravan or trailer
while the twin electrics also provide supplementary power for use
in the caravan or trailer itself.
