VB330 IP-PROBE BRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES’ products adhere to The Global Standard of Digital Television. BRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES’ products adhere to Advanced Televison Systems Committee. The patented MediaWindow™ is a key technology for media over IP analysis. The VB330 is an integral part of the breakthrough Full Service Monitoring concept. With Eii (External integration interface) all IP-Probes can be easily integrated into 3rd party NMS / OSS systems. d On the VB330 the ETR290 option provides full ETS TR 101 290 monitoring and deep analysis of all parameters and additional data as Conditional Access. The VB330 10G Probe is the flagship in the Bridge Technologies product range. Equipped with up to two 10GB Ethernet inputs it is capable of monitoring thousands of multicasts in backbone networks and central head-ends. VB330 utilises the same visual and intuitive approach to monitoring and analysis as other Bridge Technologies probes. The VB330 is equipped with an 8 core CPU, providing extreme processing capabilities. This allows the probe to perform the large-scale monitoring required in modern media infrastructure. By default the VB330 comes with multicast monitoring functionality. The probe uses renowned and patented Bridge Technologies presentation techniques in order to provide easy-to-interpret GUIs that show important irregularities and stream history. The already impressive basic functionality of the VB330 can be extended via software options: The Advanced Ethernet Options (AEO) adds sophisticated traffic monitoring features to the probe. This includes traffic statistics based on user configurable filters, enabling traffic break-down in accordance with detailed settings. VOD monitoring is one of many tasks supported by this generic functionality. The AET enabled probe also performs analysis of microbursting, making life easier for network engineers, as ultra-short packet bursts can be detected. With the AET option also comes PCAP recording, which can prove invaluable when complex low level errors need investigation. The Bulk ETR option adds full real-time ETSI TR 101 290 analysis of more than 25 streams. The Bridge Technologies ETR analysis engine is already used in many small and large systems world-wide, to perform validation of standards conformance in central head-ends and local insertion points. Utilising this proven technology in combination with VB330’s formidable processing power, the Bulk ETR option provides continuous and cost-effective ETR monitoring of a large number of streams in parallel. The Bulk OTT option extends probe functionality to include analysis of up to 500 OTT channels, 50 of them in real time. SmoothStream, HLS, Adobe HDS and MPEG-DASH are supported, and the Bulk OTT enabled VB330 will check manifest files, profile presence and transmission times. If checks or measurements reveal errors that could lead to OTT system malfunction, alarms are raised. When so much monitoring capacity is packed into one unit, redundancy becomes a serious issue. The chassis used to house the VB330 therefore includes a dual power supply, minimising the risk of losing monitoring due to power supply failure. Furthermore, as goes for all Bridge Technologies probes, dedicated telco grade hardware is used throughout, to ensure the longevity and stability needed for professional operation. The VB330 can be controlled directly via HTTP using a standard WEB browser, or it can be part of a VBC system which includes other devices. This makes the 10GB VB330 the logical extension of the Bridge Technologies product suite. Advanced Ethernet Option • Full Service Monitoring (FSM) • IGMP logging • Traffic breakdown according to detailed user defined settings • Traffic graphing • 4 day traffic history • VOD monitoring • Microbursting detection and analysis • Microbursting time graphs • PCAP recording Bulk ETR Option • Real-time ETSI TR 101 290 analysis of more than 25 streams in parallel • Alarm graphing, 24h timeline • Full EIT decoding • PCR_AC and PCR_OJ histogram • Extended CA analysis and alarming • Support for private descriptors • Powerful threshold template system for control of alarm handling • MicroETR facilitates overview of large systems Bulk OTT Option • Monitoring of up to 500 OTT channels, 50 in parallel • Monitoring of all profiles for each OTT channel • Support for SmoothStream • Support for HLS • Support for Adobe HDS • Support for MPEG-DASH • Manifest validation • Profile availability check • Chunk sequence update check • Chunk download time versus chunk length displaying • Download bitrate versus actual bitrate displaying • Time flow graphical representation of stream and profile health Supplied and supported in the UK and Ireland by Phoenix Datacom t: 01296 397711 [email protected] www.phoenixdatacom.com

On the VB330 the ETR290 option provides full ETS TR 101 290 monitoring and deep analysis of all parameters and additional data as Conditional Access.

The already impressive basic functionality of the VB330 can be extended via software options:

The Advanced Ethernet Options (AEO) adds sophisticated traffic monitoring features to the probe.
