Pavement Jointing Mortars www.nccstreetscape.co.uk To create this attractive courtyard garden in Farnham, the owners selected random sized, Honeydew Chancery Flagstones, with natural granite stone setts for the featured paving edging and stepped areas. With such a light stone surface the owners were concerned that the jointing and grouting material should be non- staining and it had to be fully resistant to weed growth and any future boring insect infestation, so that this feature paving would require very minimal future maintenance, as the owners are an elderly couple. Buds Landscapes were appointed to supply and install the new paving and immediately elected to use vdw 800 Jointing Mortar, in a sand beige colour, for the project as it could easily meet all of the owners requirements. This decision was also good for Buds, because this advanced paving jointing mortar is extremely quick to apply, as a slurry that is ‘squeegeed’ across the pre-dampened surface, flowing uniformly into and filling the joints in a single application. After a few minutes, the paving surface is simply rinsed clean with a hose and then any loose sand brushed off when dry. Finally, this resin based jointing mortar cures and hardens quickly, allowing the newly completed areas to be opened for access and normal use.
