NavigationThe NCDC 2013 and NCDC 2015 audio
units use the latest Siemens CD-ROM-
driven satellite-aided navigation system.
It directs the driver to a chosen destination
using clearly spoken voice instructions,
backed by directional pictograms displayed
on the car’s multi-function display.
Coverage
Navigation CD-ROM coverage already
includes most countries in Europe. While
the Vauxhall-supplied CD-ROM covers
mainland Britain in detail, those for other
European countries also show the whole
European trunk road network. All discs
are updated twice a year and are available
at extra cost by subscription.
Colour monitor
Optional at extra cost, a five-inch colour
monitor is available separately for use with
the NCDC 2013 and 2015 systems. Taking
the concept one stage further, it displays
the proposed route in map outline. The
colour unit also makes the whole screen
available for display, rather than having
‘reserved’ areas for set functions as on
traditional multi-function displays.
The Vauxhall carphoneAvailable on all Vectra models, the Vauxhall
carphone (CCRT 2008) is a dual-band GSM
mobile phone and a stereo radio/cassette/
CD player all fully integrated into one unit.
Alternatively, drivers can opt for the more
sophisticated NCDC 2015, which offers all
of the features of the CCRT 2008 (except for
the cassette player) plus the added benefits
of satellite navigation.
The radio, cassette, CD and phone all share
the same facia control panel, remote display
and steering wheel mounted controls. The
Vauxhall carphone offers state-of-the-art
GSM mobile phone functions: you simply
insert your existing mobile phone SIM card
(an adaptor may be required), then make
and receive calls through the remote
microphone and car audio speakers. The
carphone’s hands-free operation allows
the driver to not only conduct a telephone
conversation, but make, receive and end calls
with both hands safely on the steering wheel.
From a quality perspective, the factory-fit
installation means that the whole system is
of original equipment quality and comes with
a full Vauxhall warranty.
Telephone pre-wiringHelping to keep Vectra drivers in touch at
all times, telephone pre-wiring is available
at extra cost on models that do not have
the CCRT 2008 and NCDC 2015 carphone
installed. Pre-wiring, when fitted in
conjunction with the Vauxhall accessory
hands-free phone installation kit, allows
drivers to listen to incoming calls via the
car’s audio speakers and can even provide
an incoming call message via Vectra’s
built-in multi-function display panel.
Telephone pre-wiring is fitted in the factory
to ensure full compatibility with the original
wiring, eliminating the problems often
associated with aftermarket systems. It
comprises a microphone and modified roof
aerial together with an integrated harness
complete with power and aerial connections.
The pre-wiring is compatible with both the
GSM 900 and 1800 frequencies.

Gross vehicle weight is the total permissible weight of the vehicle including passengers and their luggage. To determine total carrying capacity, deduct kerbweight from gross vehicle
weight. Note that the figure obtained will include the weight of the driver, passengers and any optional equipment or accessories. The maximum roof rack loading should not exceed
100kg. The maximum towing weights are based on the ability of the car, with two occupants of 70kg each, to restart on a 12% gradient, which is approximately 1 in 8.3, at sea level.
At altitudes above 1500 metres, the engine output may drop with a corresponding reduction in towing capability. Any extra weight, such as luggage or additional passengers, should be
deducted from the maximum towing weight. With a trailer fully loaded, maximum noseweight should not exceed 78kg. Always fit Vauxhall towing attachments and accessories available
from your Vauxhall retailer. They are designed specifically for Vauxhall models and carry a 12-month guarantee.

The fuel consumption figures shown comply with EC directive 1999/100 to provide a realistic indication of fuel consumption by taking into account everyday driving conditions, such as cold
starts, acceleration and braking. These figures take account of the vehicle’s kerbweight, ascertained in accordance with the above regulation. Important: the results given relate to the
particular car tested. Variations in trim level and equipment may result in slightly higher fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels than those quoted. Driving style, road and traffic
conditions, vehicle mileage and standard of maintenance may also affect fuel consumption; therefore the results do not express or imply any guarantee of fuel consumption attainable.
As the first UK manufacturer to introduce
a range of factory-prepared and fully
warranted LPG (liquefied petroleum gas)/
petrol models, Vauxhall is committed to
developing its dualfuel range. Vectra
dualfuel models are based on the Euro 4
compliant 1.8i 16v engine, fitted with
gas sequential injection. Thanks to the
substantially lower retail price of LPG
relative to petrol or diesel, it’s possible to
travel 50% further for the same fuel cost
when running a Vectra dualfuel model on
LPG, while the lower CO2 emissions can
also lead to lower levels of taxation. With
over 1400 LPG outlets across Britain at the
time of publication, you’re never far away
from a refuelling site. Vauxhall dualfuel
models even qualify for a 100% discount*
on London’s £5 daily congestion charge,
upon payment of a £10 annual
registration fee.
LPG operationTypical range in gas mode: Around 260
miles. The actual range will depend upon
the model, vehicle load and type of driving.
Service intervals: Vectra dualfuel models
have the same service schedules as the
regular petrol models. In addition, at every
third regular service (maximum 60,000
miles or six years) the gas pressures are
checked (and adjusted if necessary), the
LPG fuel filter is changed and the regulator
lock-off valve has its magnet cleaned and
filter changed. Finally, every six years, the
LPG fuel tank is inspected.
PerformanceCompared to a standard petrol vehicle, a
marginal (3%) deterioration in acceleration
is to be expected owing to the nominal
decrease in power, combined with the
increase in kerbweight.
LPG tank and refuellingTank location: Spare wheel well. The filler
is located on the rear offside of the vehicle
next to the regular fuel filler flap.
Tank capacity: 45 litres (9.9 gallons).
Refuelling time: Generally the same as
petrol, depending on type of pump available.
Luggage compartment: The luggage
capacity will be slightly reduced due to the
relocation of the space-saver spare wheel to
a position within the luggage compartment.
Conversion weightsKerbweight is increased by around 79kg over
standard vehicles, with a corresponding
reduction in total carrying capacity.

D1. Cornering Brake Control (CBC)
Cornering brake control makes the car easier to control in
extreme situations, particularly when braking sharply on a bend.
It is particularly effective when carrying out emergency procedures,
such as avoiding a child’s ball that’s rolled out from the kerb.
The system works by sensing the different rotational speeds of
the individual road wheels and co-ordinating the level of braking
pressure applied to each wheel.
D2. Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
Emergency brake assist detects the urgency with which the
brake pedal is pressed and rapidly increases the pressure to
the maximum the system can provide, shortening stopping
distances. It also enhances pedal feel.
Stopping distance at 60mph
Actuating time: 150 milliseconds
GVW: 2210kg
With EBA 39.1m
Without EBA 39.9m

D3. Electronic Stability Programme (ESP-plus)
Working in conjunction with the car’s traction control system
(TC-plus), ESP-plus provides enhanced yaw compensation
during understeer or oversteer. The system works by
monitoring the front and rear of the car, comparing their
respective directions of travel going in to the bend with the
input received through the steering wheel. If the vehicle
starts to slide, it applies corrective braking to all four
wheels independently of each other, compensating for the
understeer and helping you regain control more rapidly.
Standard on V6 models, optional on all other models
except Expression.
