Problem statement There are dumpers which need to tracked.
Tracking includes-
>>Checking whether the dumper started its operation or not.
>>No of trips made by each employee in a particular shift.
>>Total no of trips in particular shift of each dumper.
>>Total no of trips of each dumper in whole day, moth or year.
>>Total no of trips by all drivers in a given day, month, year etc.
All of the above requirement should be automated to decrease themanual errors and implement a good fleet management system.

We have gained insight of your problem and we decided to go for a localpositioning system using long range active RFID technology.
This is a very simple, cost effective and efficient method for your application.
Integrate it with biometric attendance system for fool proofing from proxy andfor exact reporting time of drivers .
Unlike GSM and GPS based system there is no recurring cost.

Other features of software If any dumper stops working in the middle of the shift, immediately SMS
alerts will be sent to 5 pre fixed Nos which helps to attain a better fleetmanagement system
Request for the current status using SMS.
Summary of the shift or the day can be SMSed to pre fixed nos.
By integrating it with a video analytic software we can have snap shots of eachand every dumper and its status of load when it passes by the Rfid reader.
Return On Investment(ROI) Period
Return on investment is very important factor when implementing a newtechnology
Let us say on an average 2 people per shift are working for noting the tripsmade by dumpers, we need 6 persons to manage.
Suppose, If the average pay per employee is 5k. It is coming up to 7.2 lakhs pretwo years.
Therefore ROI period is less then 2 years.
Unlike GPS and GSM system there is no recurring cost.
There is always a chance for human errors and deceiving. By implementingAutomatic tracking system there is no chance of happening such type of errorsor deceiving. If we consider cost for such things, the ROI period is even low.
On top of all this things we have whole data and reports to analyze andimplement good fleet management system.
