Where Starseeds Cluster and Shine!

Mothers and Fathers, clerks and auto mechanics, grandparents and librarians, farmers and children all

have a share in compassion. If you’re look-ing for it, compassion shows itself fairly of-ten, in small and big ways; even in a quiet wink of understanding given to someone in need of just such a gesture. To expect to be a compassionate person or to recognize one, we must have an understanding of compas-sion and from where it comes. We know that emotions such as anger, fear, envy, aggression and vengefulness demon-strate an imbalance of energy, and when al-lowed to be expressed, the ego is in charge of those responses. However, what would it be like if compassion, the authentic expres-sion from the heart, was at the soul of every response? We would live in a world filled with joy!

Compassion, the act of being helpful or merciful, demonstrates a raised level of thinking, a reverence for life that allows the actor a vision of the interdependence of all activity. When one is reverent of life, lash-ing out is not only unexpected but totally

incongruous with nature.

Feelings show us when we’re operating from the ego or the heart. Non-judgmental ac-ceptance or allowing life to occur around us without our intervention is healthy. Step-ping into our external power through such means as argumentation, indignation or be-coming cynical, keeps one’s mind filled with anxiety. Through utilizing the emotions of the heart—compassion, love and kind-ness—we remain free and balanced, more in harmony with internal power and the com-passionate side of life.

When seeking compassionate responses we soon become aware of the wholeness in each situation, the al-rightness. Every interac-tion provides an opportunity to approach it from the heart or the ego; from the internal power or external power; from a reverent state of compassion or a self-centered state of control. Only personal choice paints the outcome’s picture. However then, we have so many opportunities from which to choose until outcomes are in line with our intention.

The Earth is a great processor of energy. To be the human part of God is the most un-believable blessing. If you are anxious to live out this blessing and to show more compassion, remember the road to achieve your intention is through your heart, where freedom reigns supreme. Remember too, that every one of us is a blessing to the plan-et right where we are, as we are. While we move forward in life continuing to evolve, the particular pictures we paint through our choices will be of wholeness, complete with compassion for ourselves, others and the ac-tivity around us. Compassion is alive and well!

The Journey So Far—The Best of Loreena McKennitt Spotlights Juno Award Winner and Two-Time Grammy Nominee’s Three-Decade Career as an Independent Artist

With 14 million albums sold, a pair of Juno Awards and two Grammy nominations, Lore-

ena McKennitt is celebrating the 30th an-niversary of her singular career as an artist known for her groundbreaking blend of Celtic sounds and World Beat. This career is now documented on Universal Music Enterprises’ The Journey So Far—The Best of Loreena McKennitt. Out March 4, the

comprehensive set comes in CD, digital and vinyl versions, with a deluxe edition includ-ing a second disc, A Midsummer Night’s Tour. This disc features highlights from the live performance recorded at the Zitadelle in Mainz, Germany, in July of 2012—a re-turn to the city in which the 2013 Grammy nominated Troubadours on the Rhine was recorded.

“When I look back on the road from where I have come, the

people I’ve met, the places and experiences which have informed

the music, or even where we created or recorded the music, I marvel at how rich my journey

has been,”


says McKennitt. “I recognize that many people will be hoping for a new recording and I am delighted to say that the process of researching a new recording has begun. At the same time we’ve learned that for one reason or another, certain parts of the world have only had limited access to my catalogue and this 30th Anniversary is an opportunity for us to introduce them to some of the mu-sical highlights over these 30 years.”

A successful self-managed maverick since her early days busking on the streets of Toronto, McKennitt established her own Quinlan Road label and publishing com-pany and has produced albums in various locales—including a barn in Southern On-tario, a Benedictine monastery in Ireland and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio in England, where she recorded four of her albums. Her releases include seven studio recordings, three seasonal recordings, and a live in-concert DVD from the Alhambra in Spain. She garnered double-platinum hon-ors for 1997’s The Book of Secrets and its Top 20 crossover radio hit, “The Mummers’ Dance.”

Ms. McKennitt’s extensive traveling in pur-suit of the history of the Celts, from Mon-golia and China to Turkey and Siberia, has shaped her distinctive eclectic Celtic sound, which marries Eastern, Middle Eastern and Celtic musical traditions with her own lyrics and those by great poets like Shakespeare,

W.B. Yeats and Alfred Lord Tennyson The Journey So Far—The Best of Loreena McK-ennitt features a selection of 12 fan favor-ites curated by McKennitt herself, including “The Mummers’ Dance” and “Bonny Port-more,” a traditional Irish folk song included on the soundtrack to Highlander III—The Sorcerer, as well as “Dante’s Prayer,” which led to her citation in Dan Brown’s best-sell-ing Inferno. The set also includes “The Mys-tic’s Dream,” which was used extensively in The Mists of Avalon, a critically acclaimed mini-series starring Anjelica Huston.

Her appearances have taken McKennitt to concert halls and historical venues around the world, and have included performanc-es for dignitaries including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, heads of state, as well as at the 2013 fantastical wedding of Sean Parker and Alexan-dra Lenas in Big Sur, California.In addition to her musical career, McKennitt has been recognized for a number of notewor-thy philanthropic initiatives. In 1998 she founded the Cook-Rees Memo-rial Fund for Water Search and Safety and she was instru-

mental in the transformation of a 1929 neo-Gothic school into the Falstaff Family Centre, a charitable organization focused on families and children.

In 2004 she was awarded the Order of Can-ada, the highest individual civilian honor that can be bestowed in her country, was appointed Knight of the National Order of Arts and Letters of the Republic of France in 2013, and she was also made an Honor-ary Colonel the Royal Canadian Air Force in 2006. As a privacy advocate she won a landmark privacy case in the UK. She has been awarded four honorary degrees for her non-musical endeavors.

WHAT TO DO IN THE YEAR OF THE WOOD HORSE2014 ANNUAL FLYING STAR CURES

Solar and Lunar CalendarsMany countries in the Orient use two calendars. The Lunar Calendar is

used for ceremonial purposes and, in the Stems and Branches 60-year ca len-dar system, determines the Animal (Branch) and Element (Stem) of the year. It is this Lunar New Year which you are all familiar with from place mats at your favorite Chinese restaurant. This calendar begins on the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice, which this year falls on Jan-uary 31. And then there is the Solar Calendar.

It is the Solar Calendar which is used in Xuan Kong (Time-Space) Feng Shui, especially when using the Flying Star (Fe Xing) method, that determines the important feng shui adjustments that are needed as the earth’s magnetic field shifts at the beginning of each Spring.

The Chinese Solar New Year begins in the Ori-ent on Feb. 3 or 4. It is this day that is con-sidered the beginning of Spring, as it is about mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Whether Lunar or Solar calen-dar, 2014 is the Year of the Wood Horse, and for some, promises to be a year of dynamic (Horse) productivity (Wood), while some others will have to do their best to hang on for one wild ride.

Flying Star Feng ShuiIn addition to evaluating the influence of the magnetic field based on the year the structure was constructed combined with the compass direction it Faces, Feng Shui also assesses the changing influences that occur each year and makes recommendations as to how to maintain harmony and good fortune.

These Annual adjustments are made on the Chi-nese Solar New Year, Feb. 3 or 4. Though it is suggested to install Annual Cures by Feb. 4, any-time of the year is better than not at all.

The recommended adjustments to the yearly changes in the magnetic field are based on 5-Ele-ment Theory, which is also the primary diagnos-tic method of acupuncture. Whereas acupunc-ture uses appropriately placed needles or heat to sedate or stimulate each of the organ systems, Feng Shui uses substances or symbols to ‘drain” or “feed” whichever area of the house that needs rebalancing or enhancing.

As can be seen in the Annual Flying Star pattern for 2014 depicted on this page, each compass direction is the host to a particular Element sig-nified by a number code of 1 to 9, with two numbers for Wood, two for Metal, three for Earth, and one each for Water and Fire. From year to year, certain numbers become more or less beneficial and need to be treated accordingly.

Though cures used do not have to be fancy or expensive to be effective, in fact, can be as sim-ple as a blue (Water) or red (Fire) piece of paper simply tacked to a wall, or taped to the back of a piece of furniture, I have always preferred to reinforce the Annual Cures I use with imagery. That is, to control the Metal 7, I like using the Blue Rhinoceros. Something about this unique looking animal figurine that appeals to my sense of aesthetic. Also, it is easy to move from com-pass direction to compass direction each year.

Although in my Annual Cures newsletter, I list a variety of choices (available for download on my website: www.ElliotTanzer.com), all you need is one for each sector, which can then be cleansed at the end of the year and moved to the new sector. If you do not already own a selection of items to be used each year, and need help decid-ing which ones to purchase, let me suggest the following:

Water 1 in the SW: As Water 1 is not an Ele-ment of misfortune, nothing needs to be done. However, placing an enhancement will enable you to ‘tap’ into this favorable energy to bring benefits into all areas of life. As Metal makes Wa-ter, I use a Gold Arowana (an ancient species of fish known for its longevity, paternal care, and, like the koi, a symbol of prosperity). I also hang 10-Coins on a Red Cord, again, for the metal which gives birth to Water, the circle shapes which represent the Metal Element, the overlap-ping coins which have a wavy outline, and the number 10 which reduces to the number 1 for K’an, the Water Trigram.

Earth 2 in East: Though the cures recommended for Earth 2 are the same as Earth 5, I have pre-ferred a traditional 6-Coins on a Red Cord and a Brass Wu Lou (Gourd) as the Wu Lou has always been considered a protection against illness.

Wood 3 in SE: Though a red paper or keeping a bright light on is sufficient, I have always pre-

ferred a Red Laughing Ho-Tai Buddha and a cylindrical Red Candle to burn up the negative influences of Wood 3.

Wood 4 in the Center: As Water feeds Wood, four Lucky Bamboo plant in a bowl of clean water is excellent. As I have a child who is a stu-dent, I put a Calligraphy Set in the appropriate compass direction in his room. For my son who is looking for Career Luck, I put a Brass Abacus in the appropriate compass direction in his. For the compass direction of the whole house, I put a figurine of the Dragon and Phoenix for rela-tionship harmony, (which can be used to attract a harmonious relationship for those who are cur-rently single).

Earth 5 in NW: Though the most basic reme-dy is to use a wind chime or a pendulum clock with a metal pendulum (referred to as “moving metal”), I like to use two remedies. As hanging a wind chime indoors does not fit my decor, I prefer the Salt Water Cure as a more industrial strength remedy and, as a temporary cure, one that I toss in the trash at the end of the year (14-16oz. vase, filled 3/4 with rock salt, 6 cop-per coins on top, fill with water, place on tray to protect furniture if salt oozes over the top and falls off, refill as water evaporates). I also like to use the 5-Element Pagoda, which I have filled with earth taken from around my home.

Metal 6 in West: Another beneficial number bringing good fortune to the compass direction of the house that it visits each year, and requiring no re mediation. To enjoy additional good for-tune from Metal 6, it is suggested to use a Metal Dragon figurine, a Gold Tortoise with a Coin in its Mouth, or my favorite, a Non-metallic Gold Buddha.

Metal 7 in NE: Though a blue paper is sufficient, as mentioned above, I have always preferred a Blue Rhino. I also use a 30mm Blue Lead-glass Crystal Sphere which I either hang, or just put on a table in the area visited by the Metal 7.

Earth 8 in South: Earth 8 is also referred to as ‘Lucky Money 8’ and, like all numbers, is activat-ed by activity. This means just walking through the compass direction of the house being visited by Earth 8 brings good fortune. Understandably, there will be much activity if it visits the front door. Nevertheless, rather than wait until some-one walks through this area, having a water fea-ture such as a Table Top Fountain or an Aquarium will keep the money qi flowing even when no one is at home. Though some master practitioners will specify eight gold and one black fish, even one fish constantly swimming in circles will do the trick. You can further enhance this area with a vase of fresh flowers, opening windows to keep fresh air circulating, and one of my favorites, the Cinnabar Egg, as the Fire Element feeds the Earth Element and the intricately carved egg symbolizes abundance in the present and prosperity in the future.

Fire 9 in North: As this is usually a fortunate area of the home, it can be energized with fresh flowers or anything associated with either the number 9 like a 9-Fish Scroll or associated with the element of Fire. In my home, I anchor this fortunate influ-ence by placing 9 Amethyst Crystals along with a Coral Gem Tree.

Front Door: If Earth 2, Wood 3, Earth 5, or Met-al 7 are in the compass direction of your front door, put a Bagua Mirror with an antique Chinese coin tapped to the back outside the house prefer-ably above the front door. At the end of the year, toss this Bagua Mirror, along with the Salt Water Cure used for the Annual Earth 5, into the trash.

Grand Duke (Tai Sui) is considered one of the Three Afflictions. In 2014 is in the South between 172.5º and 187.5º: The Grand Duke is the Year Ruler, and this year is in the Horse direction. The usual recommendation, besides Do Not face the 15º subsector where the Grand Duke resides, is to place a Pi Yao in the opposite compass direction (this year placed in the North. Some people will place a pair of Pi Yao and others, any fierce look-

ing animal.

Three Killings (San Sha) in 2014 it is in the North with the Fire 9. To protect against the misfortunes of accidents, illness, and financial loss tra-ditionally associated with the Three Killings, the suggestion is to place Three Guardian fig-urines. These can be three Qi Lin, or a trinity of the Fu Dog, Pi Yao and a Qi Lin. These go in the sector where the Three Killings are found each year, and they face in that direction. My Three Guardians are placed on a small oval teak stand. Placing a potted plant in this direction is also beneficial.

Year Breaker (Sui Po): This is the Animal Sign in the opposite compass direction from the Animal Sign of the year. These two Animals are said to Clash. In 2014, Year of the Horse clashes with anyone born during the Year of the Rat.

Do Not Disturb: Whether Year Breaker, Grand Duke, the Three Killings, or Yellow Earth 5, it is best NOT to do construction on areas of the house in any of these directions, and avoid dig-ging in the garden. If construction or digging needs to be done which includes any of these di-rections, begin the project in an auspicious direc-tion and work your way into the area considered inauspicious. Or put up a curtain, folding screen, or hang a wind chime between the house and the area of construction or excavating. Best of all is to postpone disturbing any of these areas until the following year.

Recycle Yearly Cures: Each year, gather all reme-dies and enhancements together on serving trays in January, a few weeks before the end of the year. Then place them all in a sunny area and sprin-kle with sea salt, which refracts light and breaks up negativity. Then, at the end of the day, wipe the Annual Cures down with a damp cloth, and bring the trays back into the house. Prior to the beginning of the Solar New Year (February 3 or 4), energize each item by holding them in both hands before placing them in their new locations. Remember, Salt Water Cures (vase, 6 coins and remaining salt) and Bagua Mirrors used for An-nual Cures get tossed in the trash.

Follow the above recommendations and you will ride the Green Horse for one your best years ever.

While volunteering with many non-profits and rescues of many kinds over the last ten years, along with joining the Vegetarians of Central Florida and Animal Rights Foundation of Florida Meetup, I’ve made many contacts and found many resources. Under Companion Animals, you’ll find information such as links to low-cost spay/neuter clinics, organizations that can help with vet bills, alternatives to declawing, and much more. The Community Cats category has a list of reasons why Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the best solution for feral cats, along with links to organizations that can help you TNR your local felines.

The website’s Issues header includes information on avoiding all forms of animal exploitation: for food, clothing, experiments or entertainment; and also includes a list of resources for going/staying vegan. There’s also a News/Events section that includes local events such as protests, festivals and Meetups, plus updates on local, national and international laws pertinent to animal activists. Please note that section names may change as the website develops. All the information on this site is for the sole purpose of helping others help animals.

I think many of us are accused of caring more for animals than humans—of course it’s not the case. Let’s help humans, then invite them to help animals. Based on suggestions I have gotten from friends that have interacted more often with people in need, I’ve been working on care packages for people holding signs at freeway off-ramps. I include items like bus passes, socks and soft snacks. I’ve found that it’s possible to care about many different community needs, but it’s okay to focus our limited time primarily on just a few.

There are many beautiful souls engaged in the process of raising vibrational frequency in their biological vehicles, but the Pleiadi-ans say; it is not possible to sustain them and Shift into higher dimensions without being reconnected to the Universal Matrix. This nexus requires intervention by Spirit, if we are to become the ‘ Negative Ionic Genera-tors’ required to draw down Higher Dimen-sional Radio Frequencies from the Cosmos and send them down to the Earth grid in preparation for the next phase. Q & A with Reconnective Healing®’s

ERIC PEARL

Dr. Eric Pearl, the founder of Reconnective Healing® was running a successful chiropractic practice in Los Angeles when a series of bizarre occurrences led him to realize that his gift lay far beyond the realm of spinal adjustment. One patient after another re-ported healings from cancers, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and other severe health conditions, simply when Dr. Pearl held his hands near them. This coincided with an astonishing series of occurrences when patient Frederick Ponzlov – and others – began delivering coherent messages about the healings that were oc-curring, seemingly coming from a source beyond our four-dimensional existence here on Earth. But there was much more… profound and life-altering information, illumination and wisdom on how we can improve our lives.

Those insights came courtesy of Solomon, an ex-tra-dimensional intelligence that speaks through Frederick. If you look back to your childhood or youth, have you always been a spiritual person? Do you re-member having any spiritual, parapsychological or energetic experience that you couldn’t explain to yourself in a reasonable way? Was there a moment of “awakening”?

“I believe that we are all spiritual people and we be-come complete as we allow ourselves to access that. And that begins by allowing ourselves to recognize that the spirituality in childhood is so natural that we don’t necessarily notice that we are being spiritual, we just notice that we are being who we are – natural

beings that flow with the universal laws and principles.

I never felt that I had any expe-riences that I couldn’t explain to myself because I never felt the need to explain them to myself, because I assumed this is life and this is our experience. I think what happens is, as we get older, we are told what should and shouldn’t happen ac-cording to other people’s limited per-spectives, and then we start thinking, “oh this shouldn’t occur so how can I explain it?” But I didn’t have those lim-

itations of thought. So there was noth-ing that I really couldn’t explain, noth-ing that I felt the need to explain, it was more that I felt the desire to experience it.

I don’t believe for the most part that there was any one awakening, because I believe that we are awakening in every moment that we experience. Howsoev-er, if I were going to place anything as a moment of awakening, I would say it was at the time that my mother shared her life after death experience with me, because in listening to the story,

I suddenly understood that I was part of a much greater picture. I lost my fear of death, and I believe I felt and experienced my life as being more one with the universe.”

How do you live your spirituality? Do you have any rituals or a special spiritual practice? Do you believe you have to live by certain rules to be your spiritual self? What do you recommend to people who are struggling with finding their place?

“I live my spirituality by learning to observe, by learning to witness, and by learning to observe and witness with as little judgment as possible. In doing so I allow myself to rec-ognize even more.

I think my spiritual practice would be con-sidered quite simple by some, and it is is simply that I say “thank you” to God, to Love, to the Universe every morning. And once in a while, sometimes I forget, and I don’t beat myself up for forgetting, I say “thank you” again the next morning.

I believe that when we recognize that we are everyone and that everyone is us, sudden-ly we don’t need to learn about or focus on “rules” because our natural behavior falls in to perfect alignment with the universe.

And for anyone struggling to find their place, I would say to them, look at every person that you see – people you know and people who are strangers to you – and ask yourself, “How can I recognize myself in that person? How can I give something of me, if only in a smile or if more, to another person?” Find something that you can give to one person that might make them smile each and every day. You will find that you are giving it to more and more people. And somewhere in that practice you will begin to discover what you have to give, what makes your heart sing, and the next thing you know you will be on your most wondrous path.”

Before you discovered The Reconnection®, you had quite a luxury life. You had sever-al houses, different cars etc. Did you ever feel like something was missing in your life, something that would fulfill you and

your inner needs and dreams?

“Yes, I felt that something was missing. I don’t know that I was consciously aware that something was missing. Since I’m answering this question after the fact, I know there was something missing at the time that I may or may not have been aware of. It was nothing that I could put my finger on, because I don’t believe I necessarily had the consciousness to say, this is missing, that is missing.

I now know that I’ve discovered greater fulfillment in my life, and yet I know there is more to come. I don’t know what is to come, and I don’t know if what isn’t here is actually “missing”. I don’t think I would use that word that it is missing; I think that there is simply always room for us to be more. More of who we are, more fulfilled in life, and it comes from giving more. It comes from giving more pleasure to the lives with which we interact. And that is an endlessly unfolding experience of beauty and love.

Because each of us, and everything unfolds and become more, nothing is static. Even the healing frequencies of The Reconnec-tion® continue to expand, like the universe continues to expand. In the first book, The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself it gives us the gift of being able to access a new and ever expanding level of healing. A level that expands within us, and a lev-el that expands within and of itself. Yet in the second book, Solomon Speaks on Re-connecting Your Life, it gives us a way to access a deeper, more expansive level of who we are, and allows us to become greater, fin-er instruments of healing, where we find yet greater, finer ways to play our own lives.”

In what way did The Reconnection® affect or change your relationships to yourself and others? Did you ever struggle with accepting the powerful energies of The Re-connection® and integrating them in your life?

“You know that is a very interesting ques-tion because it would seem that many peo-ple would consider that it must have been a struggle to accept this. But it wasn’t. It was

at once awesome. It was at once something I recognized that on one level I had never experienced before. And yet on another level, it was something that was more fa-miliar than anything I had ever known, it was a coming home.

So very, very, very often people come up to me and they thank me for being so brave for bringing this work forward. And I thank them for saying that, and yet I also have to tell them I can’t really accept that complement because I wasn’t brave at all. Because you see, the brave person does what he or she is afraid to do. And in doing that comes their gift, comes their reward. But I was never afraid to do this work. I was compelled. I knew it was my path. And in doing what you know you are here to do, you experience love. And in the experience of love there is no fear, because fear cannot exist. Our very existence is love, and it’s our responsibility and opportunity to step into this discovery, to step into this level of existence.”

Have you ever had a patient with a re-ally severe and dangerous disease that couldn’t be healed through your work? How did you deal with that? Did you feel guilty? Did you ever doubted yourself, your gift or The Reconnection®?

“There are so many wondrous healings,


seemingly inexplicable, at least accord-ing to our present scientific under-standing; that I knew never to doubt the appropriateness of the healing. What I had to learn was to recognize and discover the perfection in each and every healing. Sometimes, very of-ten the healing comes in the form that you are anticipating. And sometimes, and very often, it comes in forms that you have not even dreamed of, forms that the universe has designed specif-ically for you.

So when we begin to feel at all guilty for a healing not happening, we have to rec-ognize at least two things. One, some-where that means we have been on some level accepting credit for when we’ve seen a healing. And what that then does to us, is it causes us to feel guilty or responsible when we don’t see a healing, we feel that we have done something wrong. Yet our lesson is to learn that there are no good, as contrasted to bad healings. All healings are wonderful.

We are here to learn to recognize the per-fection in each and every healing. Some-times we see it, sometimes we see some-thing else, and sometimes we see nothing. We need to step back one or two meters and allow ourselves to see the larger pic-ture. It’s like looking at a Monet. If you look too closely all you see are tiny little dots of color. If you step back a little bit you start to see the colors in relationship to one another. You step back a little further you start to see form. You step back a little further you start to see picture. You step back a little further you start to see greater depths of the picture. You step back a little further you see the picture in relationship to the frame. You step back a little further you see the picture in relationship to the wall, in relationship to the furniture, in relationship to the room, in relationship to the building, in relationship to the city, in relationship to the country, in relation-ship to the continent, in relationship to the world, in relationship to the universe.

It depends on where you look as to the level of the healing you allow yourself to

recognize. In other words, everyone has a healing. Sometimes it comes in the form you anticipate and sometimes it comes in the form the universe has orchestrated and designed specifically for you. We just need to allow ourselves to observe. As a healer, your job is to remain focused on the pro-cess not on the result. In other words, as a healer, your responsibility is to open the door. The other person’s responsibility is to have the courage to choose to step through that door.”

You said that through The Reconnection® there is a new frequency manifesting in the world. How has it changed the world so far and how will it change the world’s consciousness in the future? How can one feel or notice the frequency if one never had encountered with The Reconnection®?

“There’s not just a new frequency. There is a more expansive spectrum of healing and evolutionary frequencies. Which includes everything that has been here before. The Reconnective Healing Spectrum® is not different than Reiki, Johrei, Jin Shin, Qi-Gong or any of our other new or old known energy healing techniques. Each of what we have been able to access through these energy healing techniques are threads that allow for the integrity of this expanded lev-el of healing.

When Reconnective Healing® first showed up on the planet I probably would have had trouble getting into a hospital if they had driven me up to the emergency room in an ambulance. Now I speak at hospitals and universities, the United Nations, to governments, and I teach to all people in all walks of life.

A wonderful example of how the world is changing is the media itself. In the be-ginning, when I would speak to the media about this work, as individual human be-ings, the journalists – almost every single one of them – were fascinated by this. And yet, one after the next after the next, said as fascinated as they were by it, the world wasn’t ready. And I would say to them, is it our responsibility to sit around and wait for the world to be ready? Or is it our re-sponsibility to talk about this and get the

world ready? And, as each of the journal-ists began to see the greater potential role for their art and their skill in journalism talking about this, we find that the face of the planet has changed. We find that in many medical schools in their libraries and on their bookshelves The Reconnection® is everywhere. There is an expression that progress seems to march forward one fu-neral at a time. I don’t love that expression, but what it’s showing us is that oftentimes as older generations move over to allow younger, newer, more open thinking gen-erations to come in and take their place, we find that consciousness expands in very many fields. And as it expands in fields it expands at home. And as it expands in homes it expands on the planet. And as it expands on the planet, well you can follow this one I think without me having to ex-plain it.”

Please imagine a world in which every human being practices and trusts in The Reconnection®. What would be the effect? How would that world look different to the world we are living in now? “As more and more people practice and re-ceive Reconnective Healing®, as more and more people interact with the Reconnec-tive frequencies, we anchor this new lev-el of existence on to the planet. We bring about a change.

There is a concept some people refer to as critical mass, when there is a large enough percentage of us are practicing this work, soon it becomes who we are by our very nature. Those of us in this very genera-tion are here to bring this change onto the planet. And soon it will simply become the truth of who and what we are. We’ll know that we are on our way, when the children begin to say to their parents, “Re-ally? Did people really swallow poisons to become well? But they really didn’t swal-low them to become well did they? They swallowed them to allow themselves to become whole.” And as the child says that, the mother or father will have nothing to do but to smile. Because in a world in which every human being practices and trusts in The Reconnection®, time and

Love will be the vibration of the world. And if there is even a need for healing at that point in time, we will recognize that healing is merely a return to a state of living in love. Mental, physical, emotional and other forms of challenges will vanish. We will be-come more and more our God selves – ex-pressions of God, expressions of Love, ex-pressions of the Universe – here on earth. The truth of all of us being one with each other, with nature and with the universe will no longer be a concept, but a knowingness we just live.”

Made by Celebrating Our Differences

This penchant for human beings to discov-er how unalike they are, how distinct they are—it all has to do with ego. We have now managed to “create” how different we all are. And in that difference comes dishar-mony.

Where we need to put the energy now is in how similar we are, how much we all have that is similar that can be shared. How alike we all are, in terms of joy and pain and suffering and elation. And we need to share that information now.

There is no progress to be made by cele-brating our differences. We’ve done that.

We are now in a state of critical mass. We are so isolated, with our various distinct individualities, that we can wreak havoc on someone else and hope or think that we

gain from it. I’m talking about terrorism; I’m talking about hate crimes . . . anything of that ilk. That somehow if we are able to eliminate a reflection of ourselves, we are going to become more whole. It’s a very

twisted viewpoint.

So that’s what we need to recognize, that we are all, in an umbilical sense, connect-ed to the same force. Like reconnecting strings. Because we’ve lost that connection, that understanding that each individual’s greatness is relied upon by the other per-son’s greatness, by recognizing their great-ness, not their inability. What this simply comes down to is to recognize that every creature has greatness inherent in them. And the suffering of one is the suffering of all mankind.

There is a way for everyone to be joyful and not to be dependent upon what I refer to as relative happiness. That happiness has to do with whether or not you have more or less than another individual in terms of material goods, attractiveness, or all those strata that have been created. It’s a very destructive energy, relative happiness. The absolute happiness that comes from with-in, that’s eternal. It isn’t at the expense of everyone else. When people allow them-

selves to re-experience that, they recognize the joy that’s in all.

In many people’s illusion, prosperity is what’s going to allow them to finance hap-piness somewhere. That’s what prosperity means to them. “Now I can be happy, be-cause now I can buy the house that’s going to bring me happiness.” I know many lone-ly people with very big houses.

Let’s instead talk about experiencing joy. We were put on this planet to experience joy. To understand the beauty, the depth, the excitement of the life experience. To thoroughly embody it, to become joyful in it, and by doing so, become compassionate with other people. Bottom line.

The trouble is that we’re looking in the wrong places for what we think is joy, and we’ve bought into other concepts in which we think joy is experienced. Or we distrust the joy we’re experiencing as not being valid and not being of social worth. So the bottom line here is: joy is something that exists, can happen within you, and can be a part of the light in every second of your being if you choose to live that way. And when you experience it, everything else will be taken care of. You do not have to worry.

You must allow yourself to trust your life force and not second-guess it. Trust your instinct. It is a sum total of your entire exis-tence. It is a vast library of information. We blind ourselves to it when we shut down our access to our library. It’s incorporat-ing all of that existence, all that work, into this single moment in time. And breath-ing through it and allowing that funnel through to create the kind of force that will alter existence... that will change lives.

Did you know, your mind controls a multitude of aspects of your body that in turn provide strong messages to your animals? Think of your brain as a computer that

runs your entire body, and your thoughts as the programs that get entered into the computer.

An example of one such negative program, one that you may not even be aware of, might be when you may have had a bad day at work, then were stuck in a traffic jam, then once home, maybe threw down your keys and abruptly closed the door. Walking through your home, maybe you were still thinking of that first particular incident that disturbed you that day. While stewing in that memory, you began to start another thought; of the things that you have to do now that you’re home. Your body becomes tense; your heart rate increases, your blood pulses faster, your breath quickens and you may even begin to sweat. If you speak, the sound, tone and pitch of your voice changes with each thought.

Combined, this drastically changed your energy. It began with your negative thoughts. Only now you’ve provided your animal with a myriad of signals, messages and information, all nega-tive. Our animals “read” us through our thoughts, our vocal tones, through body mechanics and our body language. The cure? Positive thoughts equal happy animals!

Like many, when I began my business I sought advice and inspiration from other individuals who outwardly ap-peared to be successful. I did this through the material I

read and the workshops I attended, as well as the individuals I spent time with in networking and coaching. While some pre-scribed ideas were valid, many of the ideas didn’t feel comfort-able or in alignment with my spiritual beliefs, ideas like cold calling, chasing people or pretending to be someone I wasn’t. This didn’t suit me. I realized many others had the same frus-tration, feeling like we had to check our true identity at the door, especially our spirituality, when opening a business.

When I began to incorporate my spiritual practice and beliefs into my work, then I began to find financial success and the real happiness, I sought in having my own business. My cli-ents whom I coach are often trying to build a soulful business that will support them financially and allow them to share their gifts with the world. Together we work on bringing their spiritual beliefs and practices into their businesses that lead to the success they desire; an individual level of success, not something that society dictates.

Oh, That Love-able 4-Letter Word...by Joanna Hackley Davis, Contributing Personal Transformation Editor


“Love” is swirling: The word “love” has gotten a bad rap; its use is confus-ing. That one word covers that deep-

ly passionate “I love you,” as well as the sports-sideline, “I love you, man,” typical of a very different relationship. Further, the meaning of “love” itself has been devalued in society.

I recently received a quote that spoke vol-umes to me:

“The way we are trained to love—whether it’s to love a person, or love yourself, or love a cause—is we are trained to love what’s lovable about it. You don’t love anybody until you love their end. You don’t love being married until you love the end of the marriage too because the mar-riage includes its end. Of course, it does! Just as truly getting born includes not breathing anymore, sometimes. And that’s what you have to love; not accept. To accept is too neutral. You have to love it! That’s really active. You have to say yes to that.”— Stephen Jenkinson

What an incredible challenge; to love fully, instead of basing love only on what’s “ap-proved”. Death is part of life, but few em-brace death as a part of the life they hold dear. It’s rare to see a parent actively loving a child as they throw a tantrum. Lovers stop loving because their partner doesn’t live up to their expectations.

What would it be to love fully? What would it be to release the expectation-based, per-formance-based love and move into com-plete love? What would it be to love all parts of life, all aspects of our family, all facets of our mates?

Deeper still, to the one place we can affect real change, what would it be to release ex-pectation-based and performance-based self-love?

The quote from Gandhi never tires, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

In order to eliminate false love from our ex-ternal relationships, we must eliminate the false love within, first. Thankfully, eliminat-ing this false love doesn’t mean taking away

anything that’s already loved; it means add-ing more.

Recently, I coached a woman who was an-gry with her husband for not accepting her as-is. The underlying problem was her own lack of self-acceptance. She realized she was projecting the problem onto him. She chose to work deeper into her self-acceptance and self-love by practicing loving the parts of herself she had judged as unlovable.

Are you denying full-on love for yourself? Are you completely accepting yourself? I invite you to love your total self. Then you will change the world, for you will truly be that change.

...The Rain is Gone

“This is who I am—a piece of God who hasn’t forgotten that God is love.

As am I.”

It’s Christmastime 1941, a few weeks af-ter the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Amer-ica has been drawn into war; two of my

mother’s brothers are serving in the military, one in Europe and the other in the Pacific. My father is no longer in the picture. His persistent carousing with other women, ex-cessive drinking, and regular encounters as a lawbreaker, which have landed him in jail on several occasions, have finally made liv-ing with him impossible for my mother. He has simply walked away from his fa-therly responsibilities, never to be heard from again. My mother is alone with three children under the age of five to feed. She’s taking her three boys to her mother’s house to be watched while she goes to work for the day.

My two older brothers and I are waiting with our mother for the bus to arrive on Jefferson Avenue on the east side of De-troit. We’re dressed in our snowsuits, mit-tens, galoshes, and earmuffs, standing at the bus stop next to what appears to us to be a huge mountain of freshly plowed snow. The road is littered with salt to melt the continually falling snow, and it is one big nasty mess. A truck drives past the four of us, spraying us so hard with slush that we’re knocked off of our feet. We land safe-ly but soaked on the gigantic pile of snow.

My mother breaks down—she’s dressed for work and covered with dirty, salty slush.

She is exasper-ated. Her life is obviously out of

control with the depar-ture of her former husband, and she’s doing her best to make ends meet. The lingering Depression, along with a world war, con-tributes to her overall situation. Work is dif-ficult to come by, and my mother must rely upon the meager help that comes from her family. They too are overburdened by the long-term economic downturn. It is a diffi-cult period under the best of circumstances,

due to shortages of all manner of goods, and the fog of war itself.

My two brothers are very upset, too. Five-year-old Jim attempts to console our moth-er; three-year-old David is crying uncontrol-lably. Me? I am having the time of my life. This is like a nice surprise party with a big castle of snow that we’re all lying on top of. We can have fun! I don’t quite understand why everyone is so angry and frustrated.

And then these words came out of my mouth:

“It’s okay, Mommy. Don’t cry. We can all just stay here and

play in the snow.”

I’m the baby who seldom cries; the toddler who tries to make everyone laugh and feel good, regardless of what’s going on. I’m the kid who makes silly faces to change the environment from sad to glad. I am that little boy who’d be sure There must be a pony here somewhere if the sandbox was full of manure. I don’t know how to be filled with sadness. My demeanor seems to be naturally inclined to look for the bright side and pay little heed to things that make everyone else dreary.

According to my mother, I’m the most independent and inquisitive little boy she and her family have ever encountered. Apparently I arrived with this happy dis-position intact. I am so happy to be here


in this world. At 19 months of age I am almost the same size as Dave, who is 18 months older. I try to get my brother to laugh and feel safe, because he seems to be afraid, sick, and most of the time, sad, but he seldom even smiles. I find the world so exciting, and I love wandering and exploring.

As I grow up, nothing seems to disturb or distress me. I look around and all I see brings me to a state of awe and wonder. I want everyone to be happy. I want all of the despair in my family to just disappear. I am sure we don’t have to be miserable just be-cause our father is such a shit. I want to see my mother have joy in her soul rather than all of this distress. I want my oldest brother, Jim, to stop worrying so much about Mother and his two younger brothers. If I can make them happy and have some fun, maybe all of this other stuff will just go away.

I just can’t comprehend why everyone seems so dour. There are so many things to be excited about. I can play for hours with a spoon or an empty cardboard box. I love to go outside and gaze at the flowers, the butterflies, or the stray cat that keeps coming to our yard. I am in a kind of blissful state of appreciation and bewilder-ment almost all of the time. I also have a very strong mind of my own. I won’t let anyone tell me what I can or cannot do—I insist upon discovering my boundaries on my own. When I am told no, I simply smile and then proceed to do what my inner self instructs me to do—regardless of what any big people might say about it.

I seem to be totally in a world of my own—one that’s joyful, full of exciting unlimited potentialities and discoveries that I can make on my own. No matter how hard anyone tries to make me be gloomy, they can never succeed because I came here from a Divine light, and there is nothing anyone can do to put out that light. This is who I am—a piece of God who hasn’t forgotten that God is love. As am I.

Day-to-Day Compassion

T he driving force behind our desire to bring more light to the world often stems from our observations of how dark it can be. We see the hostility in the places where love belongs and disorder obscuring peace across the globe. Something within us desires to counteract that madness. It’s a beautiful feeling

to love the world in ways that make us want to comfort it, but at times, it can also feel like an uphill battle. Whether there’s troubling energy we witness in our own tribes, or the news reminding us that all’s still not well on this planet, we may sometimes be tempted to give in and stop trying to affect change.

Fortunately, when we feel the tug to be agents of grace, it’s some-thing we are inspired to do twenty-four hours a day – regardless of our ego’s doubts. We may get frustrated when we cannot see the fruits of our efforts, but it’s important to continue exercising our compassion in small or even unseen ways. This keeps the light moving to the greater world through our own lives; by affecting our relationships and bringing the presence of peace to our environ-ment. After all, if we don’t first fill our own hearts with compassion for humanity, how can we rightly hope for anyone else to? When we focus on becoming better at this through practical application, our experience is flooded with opportunities to grow wiser, and to be better examples of spiritual maturity in the world.

Compassion, after all, is not an action we take to change things. It’s the state of being patient and aware that darkness exists, and loving the world with our whole heart regardlessly. It’s being ready to spring into service when the opportunity presents itself, while not forcing our projections of perfection on others. We are already perfect in our imperfection, and if we withhold our love and light until the perfect conditions exist, we will be forever hoarding these gifts from the realities that so desperately need it.

So what are some easy ways we can lead with compassion on a day-to-day basis?

Smile at strangers for no reason. Practice extra patience when you are inconvenienced. Be generous with your time and resources. Be a good listener. Forgive a loved one for frustrating you, yet again. Do something for yourself that makes you happy to be here on Earth. Pray, play, meditate; find the silence underneath the noise.

It’s the small things that can both trip us up and lift us up, depend-ing on how we respond. Knowing this, how will you bring more light and compassion to your world today?

In all actuality, it’s the consciousness of the people that votes our leaders in or gets them appointed. When we are unhappy with our leadership, we have only to look at our mass collective con-

sciousness to see why events are occurring as they are. We bear as much responsibility as the persons we place into leadership posi-tions.

Perhaps we don’t take our responsibility as seriously as we could. Or perhaps the systems in place need to be overhauled, and this ultimately is up to us. In this sense, we’re all leaders, too. So instead of awaiting the other guy to initiate, we can step up and plant the seeds of change that will give rise to a new breed of leader, whose primary motivation is selfless service and not greed. Selflessness is a cornerstone of compassion. Compassionate leaders will see to it that all citizens of Earth have their needs met—a requisite before our world community can rise to the heights of vibratory frequency of which we all dream.

There are leaders superficially perceived by most to be compas-sionate, who grab everybody’s attention and are automatically and without question considered “heroes”. We must always question, no matter what things look like on the surface. Surface living gets us nowhere, real fast.

LEARN TO DISCERN.

“ Learn to discern what is honest and true, and what is false. There are inauthentic leaders every-

where and in some of the highest places.

Learn to discern not with the mind but the heart. Learn to feel from

the heart and belly of the soul what is honest and what isn’t. Practice this and get good at it. Our survival depends on it.

We must learn to discern beyond words spoken or published, be-yond photo ops and reports of good deeds done by leaders. We must become adept at intuitively feeling out whether these are authentic or if they are, in actuality, manipulations, smokescreens and dis-tractions from the real truth. Perhaps some of our leaders, those we perceive as compassionate, aren’t at all compassionate. This happens all the time. The darkness masquerades as the light. Remember the proverbial ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing!’ Beware and be awake!

We must find the ways to become so very clear that our intuition begins to reliably serve us. We must raise our own vibration for this clarity to occur. Look into how to accomplish this. It’s vital.

We give away our power when we so eagerly buy what the media serve us as true. Yes, compassionate leaders exist, but they are few. Learn to discern who they truly are.

As leaders in our spiritual community, compas-sionate listening should

be our first step when inter-acting with those who seek us out for guidance. What do you feel a compassionate listener is? For myself, it means someone

who gives themselves 100% to the conversation and lets it be 100% about the person who is speaking. It’s taking the time to look at someone and to see their soul looking back at you as they feel your love and compas-sion from your attentive, loving,

silent listening. Why would we look to someone to lead us that only focuses on themselves?

If we were fortunate as chil-dren we learned compassion at the hands of our parents, our first teachers and leaders in life. When we were having a bad day, being bullied at school, got hurt falling off our bikes, our parents would be there to show us compassion and listen to our troubles. As teenagers, we needed not only guidance, but someone just to listen with

understanding, without advice, just someone to listen with loving compassion. Some of us grew up looking to those out-side of our family for love and compassion and even a few of us had to teach ourselves to be compassionate listeners.

I had a friend whose fiancé passed away and for months and months she would just talk and talk and talk, sometimes not co-herently at all but she just need-ed someone to listen. For those

first few months, s h e

wouldn’t e v e n remember what she had said but she felt the love and compassion of someone just being there to listen; that she does remember.

As Healers, Light-workers and Em-paths we can always relate to what some-one is saying and we know there is a time for talking and a time for listening, although sometimes it’s not always ap-parent which we should be doing.

I will be keeping this thought in mind over the next 21 days to observe my com-passionate listening skills. I invite you to join me and see if we

Compassion for the self in each moment and conscious gratitude for every sec-ond of our physical life here on Earth

are vital prerequisites to experiencing true compassion for others. One cannot fully un-derstand compassion for another without first embracing compassion for the self. Compas-sion provides us with desire in the form of pos-sibility, and belief that we each can be free from any and all suffering in every possible form. We all uniquely create our own our reality, be it suffering or otherwise. Suffering doesn’t just happen to us—and that fact too is important to accept compassionately. Suffering as well as joy, happiness, love, and anything else in life are returning physics wave theory reflections of our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and actions about a desire—any, and every desire.

Given the conscious choice, no one desires to suffer unless they believe that they must. In-appropriate thoughts, beliefs, felt emotions, and actions about any desire cause unnecessary

suffering—they are the foundations of day-to-day anxiety. They must change within us so that future reflections, which will become our life experience, are those we truly want, rather than ones we don’t want.

Another can’t learn to walk for us; we each must slowly, gently, lovingly, and kindly take a good honest look at each and every one of our desires of life. What do we really want? Do we think, believe, feel, and act as if our desire is possible for us? We must continually evalu-ate all our thoughts, beliefs, felt emotions, and outward actions about each desire. This takes time and cannot be done in the multi-tasking, autopilot mode so prevalent today. Allowing time daily for life contemplation is a wonder-ful demonstration of compassionate leadership of the self.

As we master compassion for the self by con-sciously practicing every day, we must then take a closer look at our compassion with re-gards to the body in which we live—the tem-ple that houses our soul. It’s also the bridge

The Way of Love

The Law of Love is the creative source and power of all life. The realization of this law is

the highest goal to be attained. Love is purifying. It’s the power that lifts the heart and soul to the highest spir-itual awareness. The highest levels of consciousness are achieved through this Law. The Love principle is the action of giving and its reaction of regiving. It’s the constructive force of all forces and the highest vibration. Love is a powerful force. When we think of Love it’s difficult to define, because Love is limitless. As you be-come more understanding and more expanded, so does Love. Defining Love seems to limit Love. One of the saints defines Love as a process, not of my wanting to make you over in my image as I would desire, but my wanting to lead you back to yourself, to what you are, to your uniqueness, and your original beauty. We need love, and we all need just one person in our lives who’ll say, “I’ll love you no matter what.” I will love you if you’re stupid, if you slip and fall on your face, if you do the wrong thing, if you make mistakes, if you behave like a real human being. We all need someone to care about us, not in big ways, but in small bits that can add up for us and become big things; just one person who truly cares. We all have our own path. There are many paths to take in discovering oneself. We all find our way. Don’t let anybody impose their path on you; find your own way. Simultane-ously, you bear no right to order any-one else on their path. You can try to communicate, try to understand, but

each of us must choose our own path. It’s not our bodies which are essen-tial. Certainly they are important, and certainly our thoughts and our programming of our self is import-ant. Wherever we are right now, is important. Love where you are; it all starts here, now. We can start by say-ing, “Yes, I love me as I am with all my limitations, but this doesn’t nec-essarily mean it’s where I am going to be tomorrow. It just means that I love me as I am now.” You cannot go on until you make that statement real.

If I had a single wish in the world and I had a magic wand, I would wave it over everyone and have each one say, “I love me wherever I am right now, right this minute, as I am. I am great. I know this: I exist, I am, I am here, I make my life and no one else makes it for me. I must face my own shortcomings, mistakes and transgressions. No one can suffer my non-being as I do, but tomorrow is a new day, and I will continue to live and to love. And if I make mistakes, I’ll know that it’s my life and my path and my responsibility.” And they’d believe it as they said it.

Independent businesses who are conscious of the Earth as a sacred living being are in the minority

of businesses today, but they have the potential to make the loudest sound. Indie eco-conscious busi-nesses touch their customers person-ally and directly. They educate and inspire the consumers they serve and they forge the way for more such businesses to start up. The world can only benefit from this.

While Wal-Mart and McDonald’s run their customers through cashier lines as if on an assembly line, indie businesses serve their guests in the truest sense. Their customers get more than they pay for. Their more leisurely transactions blended with honesty and authentic concern for everyone’s well-being often come with a valuable story or a caring touch. Real connections are made between customer and shop owner.

Because consumer demand for green products and authenticity is increas-ing daily, companies like Colgate, Kellogg’s and big chain restaurants are jumping on the green, vegan and gluten-free bandwagons. Knowing how our American life is driven by marketing and the dollar, we can’t help but wonder if their primary motivation is money and survival. At the same time, we wonder about the integrity level of their new so-called holistic products and our sense is that they’re not nearly at the same level as products delivered by indie eco-preneurs.

At our indie restaurant, Vitality Bis-tro, our servers explain how our food is made before you order. Our guests commonly ask questions about nu-trition and we’re happy to give ed-ucated answers. We make custom foods for those with special dietary requirements. Our bistro is just about the only place where many

people in the process of overcom-ing diseases can dine out, safely. We host demonstration classes and talks on Thursday evenings where we pass on techniques of living food preparation and the reasons behind it. We make our food from scratch. Some dishes take a day and a half to prepare. It’s labor intensive, but we love it. Only the highest quality or-ganic ingredients are used after sourcing suppliers with the finest integrity, and we don’t compro-mise on anything. Do big cor-porations honestly desire or even have the ability to give this per-sonal, caring and compassionate service? Unlikely.

We will eventually grow tired of impersonal mass marketing and being deceived by big cor-porations. One day we’ll return to a buyer’s society that is based on connections made at friend-ly community shops. It’ll be those independent spirits who found ways to thrive creatively, through this great shift who’ll be left standing, delivering products without rival and serving every-one in the truest, most sacred sense of service.

Leafy greens are an excellent source of iron, chlorophyll and B vitamins for a plant based diet. Here are a few

fun ways to incorporate them into your diet.

Raw Wilted Greens

1 bundle any variety of kale1 bundle spinachJuice of 1 small orange1 teaspoon salt

Wash, dry and chop the greens into bite sized pieces. Put them into a bowl with a few spoonfuls of orange juice and salt. Gently toss to mix the ingredients togeth-er. Let this mixture sit for 10 minutes. Using your hands massage the greens be-tween your fingers until they turn dark green and start to wilt.

Serve as a side dish or use as the base for a salad and top with other vegetables, raw nuts and seeds. For more dressing add the remaining orange juice.

Kale and Spinach Chips

Follow the same method as above, except be sparing with the orange juice. Spread the wilted greens on a cookie sheet and bake at 250° F until crunchy.

Who could be a more compassionate individual than an innocent child playing with sparkling rocks, brush-

ing finger tips along grass blades, eyes following the flight of a butterfly all while remembering to both breathe and play. Imagine walking along a path of fresh cut grass, the echoes of the past so far distant, as if no one ever reminded you that pain came before your birth. You don’t remem-ber it because you were so small and innocent.

The Crystal Children are the leaders on the path we all must walk today. These most compas-sionate beings arrived after the Indigo Children hacked down the stubborn weeds—as those who came before could hardly see the forest for the trees. The Crystal Children of Christ-Conscious-ness walk in total compassion.

The Indigos, harsher in their Warrior Way, came only two decades prior to this physically younger tribe. Now with the way cleared of debris and shrapnel of past wars, the time has come for ev-ery lesson learned in the Iron Yuga to graduate through a gradient of passing time. We enter a new Age of Bronze Light. Wings unfurling, we’re uplifted. Our body temples crave the Light we were deprived of through a Winter Depression of death and destruction, and Sun deprivation. The fires we lit in our rage, are the same sparks of Divine Light that we no longer thirst for. Eat-ing closer to the Sun, we ingest the happy Plant Kingdom’s Jesters of the Sun King.

Rays engulf an era frozen in time, on Earth, a Living Crystal, once flying furthest from The Central Sun. With the Indigos just over one year old in Saturnian time, a rite of passage hands this Holy Torch to the Crystal Children. Like the Phoenix looking up for the first time, dusting ash from her eyes, crying out in joyful song, a new day begins for all of Earth, the Living Crys-tal’s, Children.

today? We aren’t wrong or broken. We aren’t in need of fixing or sedation. Meditation beats medication. We’re all responsible for all of our creations.

There’s a time and place for anger, for observational discernment, for repeating mistakes until we see that there are no mistakes, and for repairing relationships to what we’ve left unattended. The time has passed for regret, martyrdom with disregard for self-preserva-tion, for giving up and giving into temptation.

What’s next is our transition into the Spring of our existence. Collectively we’re coming out of the burrowed caves and feeling warmth while the clouds still hide the full Sun. For the first time in a long while, we don’t see our shadow. Our shadow dark side, balanced by the temporary cloudy Winter skies, will finally give way to Spring.

The healer in me prays fervently the “Prayer of Saint Fran-cis” – a prayer to be a vehicle of light for the Earth and for Humanity. However, the woman in me prays a different

sort of prayer, using the same words. The woman in me turns the prayer inward. I pray that “where there is hatred, let me sow Love” within myself; where I have injured myself or others, may I find pardon for myself; where there is doubt within me, may I find faith. I pray that I might be able to console and understand myself and, when that isn’t possible, that I might know where to find consolation and understanding. I pray to quiet the ego and allow love to flow. The prayer ends with the affirmation that, as the ego dies, I am born to a new life.

This is the true prayer of the Earth Healer – a prayer to be a container of peace, a prayer to heal myself so that I might be this container. I pray that I might understand life’s challenging and difficult moments as invitations to a deeper experience of myself and my world– an experience that can help point the way to a more loving spirit and a surer vision of wholeness for the Earth as well as myself. For it is in this vision of wholeness that true healing can happen.

Driving, directive, coercive styles of leadership may move people and get results in the short-term, but the disso-nance it creates is associated with toxic relationships and

emotions such as anger, anxiety, and fear. A great definition of compassion comes from Tibetan scholar Thupten Jinpa, who is the longtime English translator for the Dalai Lama.

Jinpa defines compassion as follows: “Compassion is a mental state endowed with a sense of concern for the suffer-ing of others and aspiration to see that suffering relieved.”

This shift is the transformation from “I” to “We.” It is the most important process leaders go through in becoming authentic. How else can they unleash the power of their organizations unless they motivate people to reach their full potential? If our support-ers are merely following our lead, then their efforts are limited to our vision and our directions.

Only when leaders stop focusing on their personal ego-centered needs, are they able to develop other leaders.

The practice of compassion is about going from the self to oth-ers. In a way, compassion is about going from “I” to “We.” So if switching from “I” to “We” is the most important process of becoming an authentic leader, those who practice compassion will already know how, and will have a head start.

When looking at the two distinguishing quali-ties of ambition and personal humility, in the context of the three components of compassion, we find that the cognitive and affec-tive components of compassion—understanding people and em-pathizing with them— can tone down the obsession within us; our excessive self. It thereby creates the conditions for humility. The motivational component of compassion, a sense of wanting to help people, creates ambition for greater good.
