At the instant shown, if the disk rolling without slipping has an angular velocity of 7 rad/s (cw), determine the

velocity of piston E, angular velocities of links ACB, BO and EC. Use the Method of Instantaneous Center of

Zero Velocity.

Motion Relative to Translating&Rotating Axes

1) Pin P fixed to the link AB moves in the curvilinear slot of plate CDE. Link AB rotates about the fixed point A with

angular velocity of AB=2 rad/s and an angular acceleration of AB=0.4 rad/s2 both in counterclockwise for the

position shown. Determine the angular velocity and angular acceleration of the plate at the instant represented.

The curvilinear slot in plate CDE has a radius of curvature of 0.8 m. In the position shown, the tangent to the slot at

the point of contact makes an angle of =30o.
