Smart Instrumentation spec sheet exports

with data dictionary mapping are provided to

Masoneilan and they can load the data into

ValvStream or ValSpeQ software

The returned ValvStream or ValSpeQ sizing

and selection data can then be loaded back

into Smart Instrumentation.

If you provide DDP group and data mapping

the groups and fill in the DDP data for Import

Consolidated Smart Instrumentation Interface

Consolidated uses ValvStream software to

size, select and generate proposal

documentation for safety relief valves

Consolidated created a unique interface by

building a Smart Instrumentation Spec Sheet

form specifically for their Relief Valves

ValvStream can accept data from other

forms if mapping data is provided

ValvStream sizing and selection data can be

imported back into Smart Instrumentation

Emerson Relief Valve Smart Instrumentation Interfaces

Emerson uses PRV2SIZE Software for sizing Anderson Greenwood, Crosby, Yarway and Varec Pressure Relief Valves

PRV2SIZE Software has import / export capability with Smart Instrumentation provided data mapping is available

PRV2SIZE Software can produce Valve Sizing Reports in Excel or PDF format include Datasheet and Dimensional Drawings

PRV2SIZE sizing and selection Excel reports can be imported or cut and pasted back into Smart Instrumentation

If you provide DDP group and data mapping spreadsheets to Emerson they can select the groups and fill in the DDP data for Import into Smart Instrumentation or you can map the Valve Sizing Excel report to DDP

▪ Most Vendor model selection tools have Import / Export capabilities but will require unique data mapping for each vendor and Instrument Type

▪ Smart Instrumentation requires a different Spec Form for each Instrument Type

▪ Smart Instruments need process conditions, ranges and set points as part of the digital data set so process data needs to be assigned to both element and transmitter for some instruments

▪ Graphical Information and Spec Sheet Notes are not mappable data

▪ Some Smart Instrumentation Units of Measure do not map to vendor data fields since some are computed fields

▪ Issue Mitigation

▪ EPC’s be mindful of data mapping issues and work with vendors to make data more compatible

▪ Siemens SPPA-T3000, Simatic PCS-7, Azbil and Harmonas are other manufactures that have database integration capability
