INTRODUCTION

This Vendor Database is a compilation of results fiom the on-going TURI Vendor Survey project, which was initiated in 1993. Vendors of cleaning equipment and chemistries were sent surveys asking a set of standard questions about their product(s). In addition, they were asked to provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), printed literature and test results for T " s Vendor File. Selected information from the survey and MSDSs were input into the Vendor Database.

The information included in this report is supplied directly by the vendor. TURI has not verified the accuracy of any of the information and is not liable for any claims made by the vendor.

If you would like more information about any of the products included in the database, you may visit the Institute and browse through the Vendor File, or you may umtact the vendor directly. The Vendor File contains all infomation submitted to us, including answers to all the questions asked on the survey (see next page for list of questions).

The Vendor Survey is an on-going project, and reports will be updated periodically. If you are a manufacturer or distributor of cleaning equipment or cleaners, please verify the information included about your product(s) and provide TURI with updates as your product line changes. SURFACE CLEANING LABORATORY SERVICES

If you need further assistance in selecting an appropriate cleaner or equipment, or if you have questions about your cleanliness specifications or cleaning process, the Surface Cleaning Laboratory at TURI may be able to help you. The goal of the Cleaning Lab is to assist Massachusetts industry in the search for safer cleaning processes by testing and evaluating aqueous cleaners and equipment.

The lab can performs tests on your dirty parts or on standard coupons and can provide you with an evaluation of cleaning effectiveness. Description

Oil skimming systems are designed to remove oil hom sumps, pits, ponds, pah washing systems. The collector tubing used, floats on the surface of water and is driven in a continuous loop by the skimmer. Oil sticks to the outside of the tube. Tube is than pulled into a skimmer where the oil is scraped off the tube. Oil then flows to a collection container.

The unit is a vapor degreaser styk cleaner, utilizing a two phase IhuM where ona b the primary ckaning agent and the dher acts as a rinsing, drying fluM. In the case of flammable cleanlng fluids, the second fluM also provkks an inert vapor blanket to control ftammability. The cleaning is mainly by liquid immersion. The units are bench mounted tanks that handle all three phases of the cleaning process of wash, rinse and dry. A wide variety of product dzes and configurations udsts to accomodate the need for customer setup, specifically aructured around the nads of the application.
