In the last two years, more than 2,000 selected students have enrolled in the International Study Tours organized by Nordest Comunicazione & Eventi, in partnership with the online newspaper VeneziePost, and joined the Venice Region Student Platform.

Through our activities, we offer selected international students the unique opportunity to:• attend a series of international events focusing on a range of topics: economics, innovation,

history, literature, science, arts & design• meet and exchange views with renowned professionals, scholars and experts• attend hands-on “in the field” activities and training• join an international network of peers studying in the same field• visit a true world capital - Venice - and the Venice Region, a territory rich in history and

culture and at the forefront in terms of technological innovation, creative production and sustainability

In the last few years, the Venice Region has been at the forefront in terms of technological innovation and sustainability: the Green Week is a 6-day event aimed at celebrating state-of-the-art “green development” in the area: green energy, sustainable design and management, waste treatment are just a few of the sectors of excellence that have emerged in the area.

sustainable development• visit the whole Venice Region: Venice, Rovereto, Trento, Belluno,

In the last 7 years, Città Impresa has become an international forum to discuss key issues of our contemporary economy and society, with the aim of understanding, debating and designing possible directions for the development of our Region. Past speakers include Richard Florida, Fahred Zakaria, Jeremy Rifkin, Jacques Attali, Jimmy Wales. In 2015, the Festival will take place in the city of Vicenza - home to some of Andrea Palladio’s major works and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - which is now at the centre of one of the world’s most active creative hubs.

Padova is undoubtedly the city of Galileo Galilei, commonly referred to as the “father of modern observational astronomy”, the “father of modern physics”, the “father of modern science”. Padova is also home to its famous University, founded in 1222 and one of the most prominent universities in early modern Europe.

Galileo Festival takes on their legacy to gather major national and international experiences in the fields of innovation and technology transfer. The event features lectures, conferences, workshops and round tables with the aim of enhancing the cooperation between academics and the world of business.

MAKE IN ITALYVilnius, Lithuania, 15-17 May 2015

Make in Italy is a multi-year international event designed with the aim of presenting Italian contemporary culture, creativity and business innovation in countries which are currently displaying extraordinary growth and development rates. The overall aim of the project is to help establishing and strengthening partnership and cooperation ties in the economic, commercial and cultural sectors between Italy and the hosting country.

Make in Italy is a 3-day festival to present general audiences how the so-called “made in Italy” label is currently embodied by Italian companies in different areas of activity, from manufacture to food, to services. The first stop of the Make in Italy will be Vilnius-Lithuania.

International students will have the opportunity to: • meet Italian professionals and entrepreneurs and attend major

cultural events• visit the city of Vilnius and other Lithuanian beauties

E’STORIAWORLD WAR I

Gorizia embodies Italy’s most recent history: just a few kilometres from major WW1 battlefields, it was annexed to Italy in the aftermath of the Second World War. Located on the border with Slovenia, together with its twin town Nova Gorica, Gorizia is a bridge between the so-called Old and New Europe. The city is now home to the major history festival in Italy, èStoria, which attracts thousands of scholars and amateurs. Since 2014, èStoria also features the World War 1 EU Tourism Fair focusing on the celebrations of the First World War Centenary.

International students will have the opportunity to: • meet international scholars and visit WW1 sites aboard the

èStoriabus, where poet Giuseppe Ungaretti and author Ernest Hemingway composed some of their best works

• visit the Carso area and experience Mitteleurope in the city of Trieste

ith over 130,000 visitors, 365 authors, 500 guests and 250 events, Pordenonelegge has transformed the city of Pordenone into the new Italian capital of literature, thus carrying on the legacy of renowned Italian authors and intellectuals such as Ippolito Nievo and Pier Paolo Pasolini, who were born or resided in the area.

Defined as a “feast of books”, Pordenonelegge gathers world’s most famous authors. Just to mention a few of last year’s speakers: Margaret Atwood, Fedrik Backman, Ulrich Beck, Michael Dobbs, Umberto Eco, Alan Friedman, David Grossman, Hannah Kent, Hanif Kureishi, Hakan Nesser.

Trieste is the City of Science, with its 2 universities, over 30 international research institutes and 35 researchers every 1,000 inhabitants. Its Mitteleuropean vibe was celebrated by James Joyce, Italo Svevo, Umberto Saba and, in more recent times, Claudio Magris.

Trieste Next-European Forum of Scientific Research is an “open-air lab” of applied research and new technologies. Trieste Next 2015 will be entitled “BioHighTech - The new frontiers of Health” and aims at discussing the interactions between research, welfare, industry and ethics. The Forum will feature a huge exhibition area in the city’s main square, Piazza Unità, with science labs and interactive arcades, and a rich calendar of conferences and workshops.

Experience a true world capital: Venice. Not only rich in history and cultural heritage, Venice is at the centre of the so-called Venice Region, which is considered the cradle and engine of the “Made in Italy” label.

CulT Venezia-European Forum of Culture and Creativity is an event aiming at presenting state-of-the-art innovation in the cultural and creative sectors. A 3-day non-stop event and temporary exhibition, the Forum is a meeting point for European designers, architects, restorers, journalists, intellectuals, scholars, professionals in general, who gather in Venice to discuss about current and future trends in culture and creativity.

Once ready to submit your application, please notify that perspective students are required to pay a 30-Euro non refundable application fee to avoid spam or fake applications. Selected students will then be notified via e-mail, together with a confirmation request providing information on methods of payments and deadlines. Attendance fees are payable in two slots: • 50%: at the time of confirmation• 50%: max. 15 days prior to the day of arrival
