To change a 32-bit production environment (32-bit Engine only) or a 32-bit development environment (32-bit Studio and 32-bit Engine) on a 64-bit Windows machine to a 64-bit production environment (64-bit Engine only), you must first uninstall the 32-bit Data Transformation environment.

1. Perform one of the following actions to uninstall Data Transformation 9.5.0:

Environment to Uninstall

Action

Design Use the Informatica 9.5.0 Client uninstaller.

Production Use the 32-bit Informatica 9.5.0 Server uninstaller.

2. Use the 64-bit Informatica 9.5.0 Server installer to install Data Transformation Engine.

Note: You might need to change the Data Transformation configuration from in-process invocation to out-of-process invocation. For more information about running in process or out of process, see the Data Transformation Installation and Configuration Guide.

Configuring Data Transformation for .NET API on 64-Bit Windows 2008 Server or Windows 7 Server

The 32-bit .NET API is installed with Data Transformation Studio and is not compatible with the 64-bit Windows 2008 Server or the 64-bit Windows 7 Server.

• To develop .NET applications with Data Transformation Studio, install Data Transformation Studio on a 32-bit Windows 2008 Server or 32-bit Windows 7 Server.

• To run .NET applications on a 64-bit Windows 7 Server, install the 32-bit or 64-bit Data Transformation Engine.
