Vesak Lighting at Buddha Gaya, India 供灯仪式：

Introduction Vesak is the most auspicious day in the Buddhist Calendar as it marks the Birth, Enlightenment and Mahaparinibbana of the Buddha. Shan You Counselling Centre (SYCC) will be making light offerings on donors’ behalf in Buddha Gaya, India, where Lord Buddha attained Full Enlightenment. As this year marks the 2556 years from the Buddha’s Mahaparinibbana, 255,600 lights will be offered for 7 days, from 2nd May to 8th May 2012. Spiritual Benefits Light, in Buddhism, symbolises wisdom that dispels darkness of ignorance. One will accumulate immense merits by offering lights to the Triple Gem. Virtuous deeds performed during auspicious days, such as Vesak Day, will be multiplied countless folds. Besides offering, donors also get to support SYCC, which is doubly meaningful and meritorious. In addition, spiritual blessings and chanting will be performed by Venerable on Vesak Day, in the name of the donors to further help them fulfil their wishes and aspirations. 是佛历2556年，善友辅导中心诚心代表各方善心人士，于2012年5月2日至5月8日 , 一连7天 , 在印度菩提迦耶以25万 5千 6百盏灯供养释迦牟尼佛, 为大众祈福修慧。

供灯的益处 佛教以光明代表智慧，正如光明能驱除黑暗； 因此供

灯是期望智慧增长、愚暗渐除；心开意解、烦恼尽

断。同时供灯剩余的净资又可支助本中心的各项慈善

服务与活动，可谓一举两得！藉此殊胜因缘，祈祷世
