Symposium Presentation: The growing importance of strength training, in areas of sports performance and its application to the field of health, has caused a great increase in the research focused on the adaptations that causes this kind of training. The aim of this symposium is to bring the latest scientific and practical applications in different population groups and diseases. We will count with the participation of renowned experts in the field. This course adresses different aspects of weight training. On this occasion, we count with the expertise of two international speakers: Dr. Kevin D. Hall (National Institutes of Health -NIH-USA) and Dr. Michael J. Joyner (Mayo Clinic, USA), leading experts in energy balance and exercise physiology respectively. We will also learn about the latest innovations in weight-loss trainning, A roundtable debate will be allocated to study nutrition, daily activity, high intensity training and other proposals in the control of body composition. Some of this insight will be based on real experiences of training. Other topics to be covered in this event include: programming by strength training algorithms oriented to health, considerations for women training, kettlebells, indoor cycling ... provided by leading experts in our country: Dr. Carlos Barbados, Dr. Pedro J. Benito, D. Juan Ramon Heredia, Ms. Susana Moral, D. Ivan Gonzalo, D. Hector Garcia, among others. For the first time, oral communications and posters will be accepted at the symposium with the aim of publishing an ISBN-indexed book of abstracts. Thus the scientific level of the event continues to grow, without losing the essence that has always characterized it: giving coaches state of the art knowledge that can be applied in their sessions.
