OWNERS MANUAL

Congratulations on purchasing your VIBE Optisound. Please read this manual in order to fully understand how to get the best results from this product and ensure that all advice on how to look after the product is followed.

Thank you for buying VIBE, we hope you enjoy listening to your product as much as we enjoyed creating it.

TERMINALS AND CONTROLS

1. Analogue InputFor connection to a TV / games console / set top box / DVD player / Blu-ray player with low level outputs. This is the RCA phono output from your device.

2. Digital InputFor connection to a TV / games console / set top box / DVD player / Blu-ray player with an optical digital output. This is the recommended connection as the digital input will provide the best sound quality.

IMPORTANT:

This control is used to match the input signal of the source to the ampli er. ee setup guide for more details.

The ED will illuminate green when the ampli er is in operation.

This switch is used to turn the ampli er on and off.

Wired connection to a mains wall socket.

This switch is used to select analogue (RCA) or digital (optical) input.

This switch is used to set the frequency bandwidth of the enclosure. It is recommended that the 50Hz setting is used on larger TV sets and that 80Hz is used on smaller TV sets. Please experiment with this switch to see which setting best integrates wiith your TV speakers.

ANALOGUE CONNECTION TO A TV SET

DIGITAL CONNECTION TO A TV SET

Connecting to the TV set enables any source connected to the TV to be output through the subwoofer.

Connect one end of an RCA phono lead (not included) to the analogue input of the ampli er and connect the other end to the RCA audio output of the TV set.

Ensure that the input mode switch is set to

CONNECTION TO MULTIPLE DEVICES

Connect one end of the supplied digital optical lead to the digital input of the ampli er and connect the other end to the digital output of the TV set.

Connect each device to the TV set via a HD I lead or whatever connection method is appropriate for that device.

Whichever source is displayed on the TV set is now output through the Optisound.

Connect one end of the suplied digital optical lead to the digital input of the ampli er and connect the other end to the digital output of the device.

Connect the device to the TV set via an HD I lead or whatever connection method is appropriate for that device.

SET UP GUIDE

PLACEMENT

The VIBE Optisound has an independent volume control which allows integration with your TV speakers and a wide range of other audio equipment.

To set the volume level of the Optisound please follow the procedure below.

Connect the Optisound to yout TV or device.

et the bass level control on the Optisound to it s minimum setting which is fully anti-clockwise.

Have a game, movie or music track playing and set the volume level on the TV speakers to the desired listening level.

lowly rotate the bass level control on the Optisound clockwise until the desired sound balance has been achieved.

To set the frequency (Optisound TV6 digital only) please follow the procedure below.

First select the lowest setting (50Hz) and listen to a wide range of material.

elect the higher setting (80Hz) and repeat the process.

ow select the frequency that you feel best blends with your TV speakers.

The VIBE Optisound has been designed to deliver great sound from almost any location.

ome experimentation can yield better results.

Below are some recommended installation positions.

For Optimum results it is recommended that the Optisound is installed as close to the TV set aspossible which will produce the best phase characteristics.

If the TV and Optisound are mounted in the corner of the room you will also bene t from a signi cantreinforcement in the bass produced from the Optisound and the TV speakers.
