All Saints Centre for Mission and Ministryworks in partnership with the dioceses of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester in the northwest, together with Derby and SouthweIl & Nottingham in the east Midlands plus Sodor & Man.

We are looking for an exceptional colleague who will contribute fully to the development of our dispersed training community, the quality of its teaching and learning, its diversity and commitment to equality and inclusion and, under God, to the effectiveness of those who train for ministry with us.

Currently, All Saints is training

nearly 60 Anglican ordinands

about 120 Reader candidates

50 – 60 licensed Readers

Some Practicalities …

small administrative team – 1 full-time + 2 part-time

small management team – 4 colleagues from dioceses

dispersed academic team – 40+ part time tutorswho serve trainees in five regional teaching centres

pastoral support – provided by a small number of chaplains

placements – supervised by over 200 ministers

join the Course Office team based in Warrington

help lead the Course Management Team

work directly with the Principal and deputise as required

be responsible for student progress and support, quality assurance and enhancement, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion

work directly with Directors of Studies, moduleleaders, tutors and students

Brief Job Description

oversee day-to-day running of the course

ensure compliance and develop best practice in all areas of its life

research and promote diversity, equality and inclusion

ensure academic quality and its enhancement

responsible for safeguarding

model good practice in ministry and working relationships

Current Priorities

developing the Common Awards in 2015

new patterns of Reader training

mentoring for trainees

improving support for tutors, supervisors and mentors

developing the quality cycle

Some Practical Constraints …

• This post is subject to an occupational requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010 that the person appointed is an active communicant member of a church that is part of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland or of a church in full communion with the Church of England.

• An acceptable DBS disclosure at enhanced level is required for this post.

• Appointment is subject to the applicant’s eligibility for employment in the UK.

• The post requires flexible working to provide teaching and support to students on weeknights, weekend study days, residential weekends and two week-long residential schools each year.

• Access to your own transport is required
