Children in WW2

• This meant they went to live with a whole new family in the countryside where it was safer.

• VE day meant lots of children were able to see their families again and move back into their homes!

• Read the poem I have posted written by a 12 year old on VE day.

• At 3pm the Prime Minister broadcast to the nation: the war was over for the British people.

VE Day 2020

VE day 2020 will be held on Friday, and it marks 75 years since war ended in Europe.

The usual May day bank holiday was moved this year from Monday to Friday to mark this special date.

Due to the Coronavirus many VE days plans have been cancelled, but lots of people are being creative and finding ways to celebrate with others from home.

Are you doing anything to celebrate VE day 2020?

Tasks today

Choose one of the tasks below
