Engineering Science Two years at Greater Allegheny, two years at University Park

“I chose to major in Engineering Science at Penn State because of its ex-cellent reputation in producing world-class engineers. Around the globe, Penn State engineers seem to stand out due to their professionalism and work ethic, and I wanted to be a part of this group. My professors were a big help in assisting me on my journey at Penn State Greater Allegheny. They were always there for me.”

If you need help choosing a class, we’re there. If you need help getting an on-campus residence, we’re there. If you need financial advice, we’re there. If you can’t decide what to do in your free time, we’re there too—you get the picture. Penn State Greater Allegheny has the advantage of being a smaller campus, which means you get the best of Penn State’s resources while maintaining your individuality. Health Policy and Administration Two years at Greater Allegheny, two years at University Park

“I chose Health Policy and Administration because I have seen the trouble with insurance companies and hospitals that my family has gone through with my handicapped sister. I want to help people that don’t have health coverage and make health care affordable for everyone.”

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Go by the book,” right? Penn State Greater Allegheny kicks it up a notch by going beyond the book. While we stress the importance of traditional education, we stress even more the importance of ex-perience. That’s where our faculty comes into play: Our world-class professors pass on their indispensable experience in a way that brings learning to life.

Go after your dreams.

B.A., Applied Psychology Four years at Greater Allegheny Graduate school, The George Washington University

“I chose Applied Psychology because it enabled me to get experience in the field I’m pursuing in graduate school. This major helped me apply what I learned in the classroom to the real world—I’m able to help disadvantaged adolescents and work with HIV patients.”

Penn State Greater Allegheny believes in what we like to call reality-based education—not just lectures and tests, but experiencing real-world scenarios that are important to your degree. In fact, small class sizes and interaction with professors is just the beginning of what you’ll experience on campus. Add in our impressive internship opportunities and work-study programs in the com-munity and you’ll see why Penn State Greater Allegheny is a great place to go.

Go forward.
