Chris Esparza

Howdy! My name is Chris Esparza, I am a freshman Political Science major from McAllen, Texas but more importantly I am the LOUDEST and PROUDEST member of the fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2013! I am a candidate for TAMU Student Senate and hope to be given the opportunity to serve as your TAMU Freshman Senator.

I am currently a member of the community service committee in an amazing TAMU Freshman Leadership Organization (FLO), Freshman Liberal Arts Reaching Excellence (FLARE), and also serve as the Director of Team Building on your Texas A&M Student Government Association Diversity Commission.

If elected my goal would be to improve student life through extensive communication between the university administration and the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2013! I hope to address such issues as an additional Q-drop for students, adding an extra day to Thanksgiving break and the lack of covered benches for the bus terminals around campus. I feel I will be able to effectively communicate these and any other concerns with Texas A&M University if given the opportunity to serve you, the LOUDEST and PROUDEST Class, the CLASS OF 2013, as your Freshman Senator! Thanks and Gig 'Em!

Vote Chris Esparza for Senate!

Trent Segers

My name is Trent Segers and I am a Freshman ocean engineering major from Spring, TX. But most importantly I am the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2013! AAAAAAAAAA!

I am running for freshman class president so I can work towards bringing old traditions back, and creating new ones. I have a deep love for the traditions here at Texas A&M and I feel like we need to work to preserve and encourage them. I want to create "Traditions Week," which would be a week focused on revealing old traditions and stories about A&M while also encouraging the continuation of our current traditions. The ideal time for this week would be a home football game week that has the first Tuesday of the month in it. This would be a great time because we could celebrate the Aggie football tradition, Midnight Yell, and Silver Taps. On other days of the week we would celebrate traditions such as HOWDY and Bonfire.

Another issue I would like to address is dorm unity. I have found that dorms aren't as unified as they used to be. In Old Army times, dorms were places of socialization and close knit communities. I think a good way to bring the dorms together would be by holding "Dorm Olympics." The Dorm Olympics would be a series of competitions between the dorms that would be both fun and would give you a chance to get to know the other residents in your dorm. The winning dorm in the Olympics would win a prize and be recognized!

Vote for Trent Segers for the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2013 President!

Thanks and Gig'em!

Leadership Nominee, and has held numerous leadership positions within his high school alma mater — Plano West Senior High. During his four years at Plano West, Kevin has been a Student Advisory Board Representative, has served on his school’s Orchestra Officer Council (having played violin for 7 years), and has led his school’s chapter of the National Honor Society as Vice-President, Faculty Liaison, and member of the NHS Board of Directors. Hannah Radley

Howdy, I’m Hannah Radley, a freshman Architecture major from Sour Lake, Texas, but more importantly, I’m the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2013!

Both my leadership development and interest in Texas A&M began at a young age. As the daughter of a former student and the granddaughter of a yell leader, I grew up surrounded by the “Aggie family,” where I learned to love A&M’s traditions.

Throughout elementary school, I used my voice to press such issues as snacktime extension and

naptime elimination.

As I grew, my experiences changed—I was elected freshman class president, and began applying my leadership qualities in more effective ways. I dedicated myself to service, and my sophomore year, was appointed community service chairman. I went on to represent my school on the state level, serving as an officer for the Texas Association of Student Councils.

For me, leadership and spirit have always gone hand-in-hand, which is why I would like the opportunity to serve as a representative for the largest class of the most spirited student body in the world.

It would be my pride and privilege to serve as the face of the Class of 2013 as we grow together into the next generation of the Aggie family.

 Thanks and Gig ‘Em!

Ryan Wilks

Howdy Freshman,

My name is Ryan Wilks, a freshman International Studies/Blinn Team Student from San Antonio, Texas, but more importantly I am the loudest and proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2013. In addition I am also running for the position of President of the Class of 2013. This means that I am required quite a bit of experience, leadership and service. I believe I live up to those standards.

Ever since the third grade I have been involved in some type of leadership position ranging from Special Olympics Events Coordinator to being Vice President of my high school class all four years,

as well as numerous other positions in between. I have served as Student Council Senate Committee Head and Parliamentarian, President of my high school's Political Interest Club, Student Director of Programs at the Institute of Texan Cultures, volunteer for several retirement and nursing homes, and this is just the start. Every year since 2005 I have been awarded with the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award for acquiring over 200 hours of community service each year. If this doesn't show you how committed I would be as Class President, then i don't know what would.

As president I would like to instill this same passion and drive in as many of my peers as i can. With the largest Freshman class in school history, we should also be the class that does the most for the school. In addition to service, spirit and traditions are a large part about what we are about. It is my goal to ensure that the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2013 is the most spirited class that A&M has ever seen. I encourage you as my peers, to follow in my footsteps and initiate change in our school and community. I will represent you my classmates, and do my best to represent any idea that you may have. I vow to you, that I will be the voice of the Class of 2013.

I encourage you all to take part in traditions and vote for Class President, and in doing so vote for Ryan Wilks. I think I am the most qualified candidate and know that you will be able to see that if I am elected into office. You may not know me very well, but i encourage you to vote for me, Ryan Wilks, the most spirited candidate available.

Thanks & Gig 'Em

Rebekah JosefyHowdy Ags!My name is Rebekah Josefy and I’m a freshman Sport Management major from Graham, Texas. But most importantly, like you, I am a proud member of the largest freshman class in the nation: the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2013! I am a third generation Aggie and the fourth of my siblings to come through A&M. I take great pride in this fine university and the fact that I bleed maroon. I want each member of the Class of 2013 to feel that their ideas and opinions are significant and valuable. My primary desire is to see this class grow in unity and for each individual to undoubtedly know they belong here at A&M. I would be honored to serve and represent you as well as effectively communicate your thoughts with the goal of turning those plans into accomplishments. A few things that I enjoy: a nice bowl of Captain Crunch, watching the Office, seeing the boys triumph at Kyle Field, good grammar, being redass, getting to know people on more than a surface level, pursuing Christ, and this quote by Donald H. McGannon: “Leadership is action, not position”.Thanks & Gig ‘Em!Feel free to contact me:[email protected]

Howdy! My name is Maggie Braley. I am a freshman Political Science major from Bastrop, Texas. But most importantly I am the loudest, proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2013!

The Class of 2013 is the biggest class to come through Texas A&M. I want to make sure that we not only go down on history as the biggest, but also the best. Texas A&M is a very diverse campus. There are so many different people here with different cultures and values and I want us to show the world who we really are. The traditions here at A&M set us apart from other universities. I love the traditions here and I feel like as the new kids in town, we need to work to preserve and push them My goal is to have every student to know and participate in the traditions here.

Not only as your class president, but also a part of your Aggie family, I am here for you. No matter what. I want everyone to know that you do matter, and you aren’t just a number.

All other miscellaneous information aside, I am running for your Class of 2013 President and I would appreciate your vote.

Remember: True Aggies Vote for Maggie !

Thanks and Gig’em!
