Write an article on ‘People and Adventure’ based on Unit 1 and Unit 2 of Main Course Book. 2. Read the novel ‘Three Men in a Boat’ a. Make a book jacket for the novel. b. Write a critical appreciation of the book. c. Pick out at least 40 words from the novel and add the words to the personal dictionary mentioned in the homework at the end. 3. Cut and paste three articles from newspaper/journals about inspirational people who did not give up and continued to live courageously despite pain/difficulties. 4. Write a travelogue as a factual report about any destination you visited during summer vacation. 5. Write the format of an email on A4 sized sheet. Write an email to your friend telling him how you plan to spend your holidays and take a printout of the mail sent. 6. Write the format of a formal letter on an A4 sized coloured sheet. Write a letter to the editor of a national daily on any issue related to the present day education system. 7. Paste clippings regarding best holiday destinations on A4 sized sheets and write some interesting one liner for each. 8. Write down ten traffic rules along with their signs. 9. Poems take roots in the found objects and slammed doors of everyday life and you can write one. Write a poem on any two of the following: a. Friendship b. Home c. Water 10. Create a personal dictionary comprising of five words per letter of English alphabet and add forty words from the novel ‘Three Men in a Boat’ to the dictionary.
