ONLINE BURSARY APPLICATION PROCESS BEFORE YOU START : Please ensure your Social Insurance Number (SIN#) is on file with Northern College. (We cannot process online bursaries and related tax reporting without it. You can confirm this by speaking to Student Services or the Financial Aid Officer for your campus.) Have your SIN# as well as your Northern College username and password with you since you’ll need to enter them to complete the application process. This information is found on your Confirmation of Registration form. Note that we have other bursaries available that are NOT available for application via the Online Bursary Application Process. Some are based on faculty nominations, administered by external organizations, and/or via mandated assistance programs etc. Check with your campus Financial Aid Officer to see what else you may be eligible for. The online bursary application system is opened for student applications during the first month (September and January) for the Fall and Winter semesters, and is closed on the last Friday of the month. 1. ONLINE BURSARY APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Go to http://www.northernc.on.ca2. Click on the Bursary Applications hyperlink as indicated below on the main page of our

website.

3. You should now be on the Bursaries for Students page. If you scroll down half way on the page, you will find a “how to apply for bursaries step by step document. To access the document, you click on your preferred format Word Version or PDF Version and you are all set to follow the easy steps. If you are already familiar with the online application procedure, you can go directly to the Citrix log on by clicking this link: https://storefront.northern.on.ca/Citrix/ncstoreWeb

4. You should see a Citrix server window come up prompting you to enter your username and password. This information is found on your confirmation of registration. Enter the requested information and click “log on”.

5. If you get the File Download – Security Warning Message, simply click “Run”.

6. Go to the Bursary Application icon. If it isn’t listed in your options, you must click on the “+” icon on the left where a list of applications will appear and then you must click on “all apps” to add it as a menu option. The icon will subsequently appear.

7. Enter your username and password. This information is found on your confirmation of registration. Accept the disclaimer and log on.

8. Enter all information required.

9. Once all information is provided, you can then apply for available bursaries by completing the requested information fields. Once completed – click “submit”.
