DEFINITIONS:Local events: Must be a Harden Shire resident to compete.Smartest on the Parade: Riders are to parade at a walk ONLY around the ring. Judged on overall appearance of horse and rider.Novice: A horse/rider which has not won a first prize at an agricultural, royal or state event in a similar class.First Season: A horse who has not competed under saddle prior to 1st January in the current year. Must compete in a snaffle bit only, no doubles or curb chains allowed.Intermediate: A horse which has not won a first, second or third in a hack class at any Royal Show.Show Hunter Classes: Competitors must choose between Open and Show Hunter classes. You cannot compete in both. Show Hunter horses are to be shown in a plain browband and may be asked to gallop at any time.Childs/ Adults Classes: Horses/Riders may compete in one of these classes only.RULES & REGULATIONS:Committee: The committee shall not be held liable to any person in case of loss or damge by reason of any defect, accident, negligence or neglect however arising.Indemnity Forms: All competitors must obtain & sign an indemnity form. All competitors must wear their indemnity wristband to be allowed into the ring. This is required whether you are leading or riding a horse.Drug Testing: Murrumburrah Show Society Inc maintains the right to drug test horse entries under the disciplinary rules of the ASC.Dogs: Must be kept on a leash and under control at all times.Exhibitor Behaviour: Any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and offending persons will be asked to leave the grounds. Safety Helmets: Approved safety Helmets must be worn at all times whilst mounted on the showgrounds, regardless of section type or warmup.Judges: The judges decision is final. Protests: Must be lodged in writing within 20 minutes of the event accompanied by a $50.00 deposit. Deposit refunded if protest is upheld. Age of riders: Is actual age on day of the eventAge of horses: Is calculated at 1st August Breed Classes: All horses and ponies must be registered with relevant society and papers to be carried and shown on request. Competitors must be current financial members of relevant societies and membership to be produced on request. Stallions & Colts: Must be shown bitted. Handlers/riders of stallions or colts must be 17 years or over. They are only eligible for breed classes where stated in the schedule. Stallions must wear neck and head collar or double tied at all times when tied up. Champion Classes: Only those winning first place in eligible classes are to parade for Champion.Reserve Champion Classes: The second place getter to the Champion is required to present themselves to the judge to parade for Reserve Champion.
COMPETITOR INFORMATION:Ribbons: To third (3rd) place in all classes.Ribbons/Sashes, Prizes & Trophies: Must be collected on the day or be forfeited.Stabling/Camping: A limited number of undercover yards are available at a cost of $5 per night. Camping is $15 per night. All bookings must be accompanied by payment. Stable booking form in this schedule and must be forwarded with payment for your staling/camping to be confirmed.Classes Clashing: Every endeavour has been made to avoid clashes of events. Events will not be held up, it is the responsibility of the competitor to be on time and to have made a choice of which event to compete in. Once a class has commenced judging competitors are unable to enter that class.Classes: No classes will be added to this program. If you have a class you wish to add please see the Chief Horse Steward for consideration for next years program.Saturday – once a horse has won a champion in either ring 1 or 2 it is ineligible to compete in the other ring.Catering: A range of hot and cold food will be available on the showgrounds on both days of the show.
Numbers System: To assist our stewards on the day a number will be issued for each horse and competitor. These details must be completed when signing the waiver before start of competition. Instead of having to provide your details in the ring you are only required to give the steward your horse’s number. NOTE- If you do not know your horses given number your details will not be recorded in the ring.

1. Entries must be made before 8.30am Saturday morning; draw will be made 10 minutes prior to each event.
2. You may enter 2 consecutive levels ie, Classes 1 &2, 2 &3 etc.3. Classes 1,2 & 3 are unofficial4. Classes 4 & 5 are official. Horses and riders must be current members of EFA to enter.5.
