StraightLine – in line with the street

A city needs light, not luminaires. Architects, urban planners, municipalities… all need to have the required lighting levels to ensure citizens’ safety and well-being, but without cluttering the sidewalks and piazzas.

The LEDGINE-based StraightLine provides them with a smart, efficient, future-proof solution which is in line with the street. This makes it less visible, thereby preserving the character of the local urban environment.

UrbanStick – feel in harmony

Municipalities want to reduce the number of obstacles popping up from the ground, including lighting poles. But they still need to put up luminaires or billboards in the streets.

UrbanStick offers the possibility to combine several luminaires on a single pole, with maximum freedom, thus making it possible to achieve a broad range of lighting effects while minimizing the number of poles. This de-clutters the streets, giving people a greater sense of space.A banner holder is available in the same style, maintaining design harmony during the day, while at night UrbanStick’s integrated grazing LED modules ensure the banner’s message is put across to maximum effect.

eW & ColorBurst Powercore – dynamic ambience

Architectural floodlights are used to reveal the unique historical and cultural identity of a town. But it’s becoming increasingly important to avoid light spill by illuminating only what is needed. Moreover, for some specific accent lighting effects, spotlights are mounted in fairly inaccessible places. In all these circumstances, a spotlight can provide the ideal solution.

eW Burst Powercore and ColorBurst Powercore are high-output, exterior-rated LED lightings fixture designed for accent and site lighting. The eW Burst Powercore delivers high-quality neutral or warm white light, as well as four solid colors on demand – red, green, blue, and amber –. The ColorBurst Powercore delivers full-color light output. Both to support a range of uplighting, floodlighting and decorative lighting applications.

Current office-lighting families now equipped with LED technology – for inspiring light effects

Most LED product offerings tend to look the same: a square or rectangular, slim, evenly lit surface of light. However, when it comes to LED solutions, customers want not only sustainability but something that delivers a truly inspiring lighting experience! Attractive light effectsBy making innovative use of LED technology, we have been able to create several inspiring LED-based lighting solutions, with appealing white light (4000 K), that have now been fitted in many of our office-lighting product families. In this way, architects and lighting designers can easily match the lighting to their designs – whether these call for subtle effects such as a smooth light surface or sparkling arches, or more expressive solutions such as bright fine lines.

Page 29: Views and Solution W2 2010_eng

27Views and solutions – Autumn 2010

Energy-efficient, low-maintenance – and future-proof!All these LED solutions deliver high-quality functional lighting that is up to 30% more energy-efficient than that of their traditional fluorescent counterparts. When combined with Philips Occuswitch controls, they can even deliver up to 30% additional energy savings. And the LED source’s 50,000 hours lifetime means that maintenance is kept to a minimum.

The building owner’s investment is further secured with our exchangeable LED module, which makes it possible to upgrade to a more energy-efficient solution without having to replace the complete luminaire.

In many product families Because of their similar lumen packages, these solutions are suitable for replacing 1x or 2x 28W luminaires. They are office norm-compliant up to 55 lm/W (the bright fine lines version up to 65 lm/W). So far, we have equipped the SmartForm surface-mounted and suspended ranges (BCS460 / BPS460) and Celino surface-mounted and suspended ranges (BCS680 / BPS680) with our LED modules. The Arano, Savio and SmartForm recessed families will follow shortly after.

TTX260 – low-cost investment, good performance

TTX260 is a value-for-money, versatile light-line solution – it can be used with or without (low-cost) reflectors, and the family easily covers most applications. This simple, two-component system features a clever design that avoids the use of a geartray. And T5 miniaturization minimizes the use of materials. These factors make TTX260 a low-cost investment, and yet its relatively high light output ratio ensures good lighting performance.

What’s more, installation costs are minimized thanks to the place-and-click fitting system, which requires no special tools or training. Sturdy, yet slim and stylish, TTX260 has a look similar to the popular Maxos light-lines.
