Conway, Jr. Read More Upgraded Facilities, Increased Funding, Growing Enrollment Have ECSU Leaders Excited Upgraded facilities, more funding for growth, increased enrollment and aviation program accreditation are the items that had members of the ECSU New Directions: Phase 2 Working Group excited about the future. Led by Board of Trustee vice chair, Harold Barnes, the Working Group met to discuss the advancement ECSU is making and the positive outlook on the future of the institution. It was a capacity crowdpacking the bleachers onSaturday, May 12, 2018,when 164 Elizabeth CityState University studentscrossed the stage insidethe R.L. Vaughan Center,receiving their diplomasand taking steps towardthe next chapters in theirlives. It was ECSU's166th commencementceremony. The bleachers were full of family, friends andwell-wishers. Cheers and applause echoed through thecenter as students made their way to the stage.Read More
