Blesseds Louis and Marie Zelie Guerin Martin, who are the
parents of St. Therese of Lisieux, were canonized on October
18, 2015! Louis Martin (1823-1894) and Marie Zellie Guerin
Martin (1831-1877) will be the first married pair with chil-
dren to be canonized in the same ceremony. They were mar-
ried in 1858, and the pair bore nine children. Four children
died when they were small, and five became nuns. During
their nineteen year marriage, the pair was known to attend
Mass every day, fast and pray, respect the Sabbath (Sunday),
and visit the old and sick. They also welcomed the poor into
their home.
Blesseds soon to be saints Louis and Marie Zelie Guerin Martin pray for us!

Super Smash Brothers is a game where you play as various Nintendo characters. The goal of the
game is to defeat your opponent in a big brawl.
So far, there have been 4 installments of the Super Smash Brothers series. The very first one
dates back to 1999 and was created for the Nintendo 64. The newest installment is for the Wii U.
It so far is a smash success because it has made millions of dollars. The highest grossing game
in the Smash Brothers series is super smash brothers melee for the Nintendo GameCube, and it
is also a fan favorite game.
To summarize Super Smash Brothers is a series known around the world, and has quickly be-
come one of the most recognized games among neutral gamers and full-fledged gamers alike.
I’m sure it will thrive for many more years.
IOS 9 By: Joey, Garrett, and Luke
IOS 9 is the new software update for iPhone/iPad/iPod. This is a very big software update
and adds a lot of applications, and in this article we will be talking about these changes.
The first and biggest change is that you can split the screen by dragging the right side of
your screen the left, which is very handy for multitasking. Another new feature is the vast array
of new emoticons (emoji’s) which are all a very cool addition to the emoji library. We are sure
they will be used many times in the future. Even though it is a very good update, it still has its
downsides, such as if you have an iPad and leave your Wi-Fi area, when you come back you
have to sometimes type in the password again. That can be frustrating!
This update has its pro’s and con’s, but remember it’s still in its early stages so don’t be
too hard on it. Personally we really like it!

Kindergarten Makes Applesauce
The kindergarten classes makes apple sauce every year to celebrate their unit of studying ap-
ples. They study the life cycle of the apple tree and the different stages that apples go through!
They ended the lesson with making delicious apple sauce topped with caramel with their 3rd
grade buddies!

HALLOWEEN FUN FACTS by Myranda Sanchez
The color orange and black are the main theme color for Halloween. The color orange repre-
sents the fall season, but the color black represents darkness.
Pumpkins don’t just come in the color orange, they also come in the colors white, blue, and
green for great unique monster carvings.
Chocolate candy bars, are one of the most popular candies to give out to kids for trick-or-
treating.
Halloween is the 2nd best, successful holiday, while Christmas is the first.

Volleyball
Our Lady Vikings Volleyball
team’s record for the season is
currently 4-3. We have great
news that our varsity ladies
have made it to the playoffs. It
has been two years since the
Vikings Volleyball team made it
to the playoffs. Unfortunately,
we lost in the first round but
everyone played great! The Vi-
kings have made a complete
180! We try our best to make
every point consist of three hits,
thanks to our coaches!

Football
The record for the St. Theresa
football team was 4-3 this year
and we had a very good season.
We went to the playoffs to face
St. Ann of Tomball and lost by a
touchdown. The 8th graders are
graduating, and so good luck to
next year’s 8th graders in the
football season of 2016. Thank
you to all the coaches that
worked with us this year!

Soccer
This soccer season has been
exciting, and we’ve been work-
ing really hard as a team. Hope-
fully we will have some victo-
ries in our last few games. A big
thanks to our coach for helping
us learn the game and to be-
come better players.
