We extend a welcome as broad as the outstretched arms of God, who calls us to be here together to rejoice in God’s glorious presence. Welcome to children of all ages – to all the children of God, each one of us. If you are an old friend or here for the first time, we welcome you.

Our worship is an intergenerational experience and we want children to feel fully included. Children are welcome to pick up an activity bag and to bring snacks to their seats. We remember that worship offers us all a special place to be with God. In this space we talk a little more softly and walk a little more quietly. We are listening for God.

Church Office Hours New Year's Week: Monday: 9 am - 1 pm Tuesday, December 30: 9 am - 4 pm Wednesday, December 31: 9 am - 12 pm Closed Thursday and Friday, for the New Year holiday. The church doors are also unlocked ahead of scheduled evening meetings and other gatherings of the church that fall outside these regular times. Ministers’ Schedules • Liz Garrigan-Byerly will be on vacation until January 3rd. Cereal Sunday, January 4 Just one box of cereal per Village Church family per month and we’ll fill the Wellesley Food Pantry cereal shelves for a year! Food may be dropped off anytime in the designated box in the Cloister and in the basket at the Village Common entrance. A Time of Healing Prayer Sunday, January 4, 11:15 am, Burtt Chapel Following worship there will be a time of healing prayer in the chapel. Whether you seek healing for yourself or another, there are a number of practices to aid in your prayer. You may walk the labyrinth, pray quietly, light candle, or write or draw your prayer. A pastor will also be available to pray with you and, if you wish, can anoint you with oil and perform a laying on of hands. Ordination of Alanna Copenhaver Sunday, January 11, 3 pm (bus to leave at 2 pm), The Memorial Church, Harvard Yard, Cambridge Join Village Church member Alanna Copenhaver and her family for this long anticipated day! We'll travel to Cambridge for the ordination where Alanna has been serving in ministry for more than a year. A special motor coach from Village Church direct to Cambridge and return will be available. Suggested donation $8. If you are interested, please contact Tricia Kibbe or at 781-235-1988 ext. 17. GIFTs in Testimony - Wednesdays 7:30 - 9:00 (January 7 - April 15) Testimony lies at the foundation of Christian community. In the book of Acts, we read that Jesus’ first followers, the apostles, “continued to testify… and an abundance of grace was at work among them all.” Telling your story. Telling the truth of your life. Speaking about where you see God in the world. All of these are practices of testimony. This year’s Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) program will focus on the Christian practice of testimony. We will learn to share our story, and learn how to listen to the stories of others. In so doing, we will seek insight into how God is moving in the world, grow in our faith, and deepe n in our love for one another and for God.
