1. . Vintage Roamer Stingray Chronograph Valjoux 726...PICTURES HEAVY and LAST PRICE REDUCTION Hi guys, after a long time, here I go again with the sale :) I bet that nobody noticed that I was gone :) Back to the sale... The Stingray was launched in 1967 by Roamer, teaming with Björn Waldegard, the Swedish rally car champion. Waldegard won the 1969 and 1970 Auto Rally of Monte Carlo with his Porsche 911S. When LAncia signed Waldegard Lancia expected him to deliver results on the tricky Swedish and British rounds, snow and blind corners being something that southern European drivers aren't used to. What he wasn't supposed to do was displace Sandro Munari as the Stratos Numero Uno. The Stratos had literally been built around Munari, to the extent that other drivers had trouble physically fitting into the cockpit. Allegedly Lancia swapped Munari for the Stratos's Dino engine, allowing him to drive Ferrari sports cars on road races. So when at the end of the penultimate stage of the Rallye of Sanremo Waldegarde was four seconds ahead of Munari words were had. Swedes don't like being beaten, so Waldegarde responded by waiting for four seconds after being signalled to start the stage, then putting his foot down. He and won the rally by four seconds and then left the team to drive for Ford. :) LEGEND Click this bar to view the original image of 1024x768px and 129KB.

The original dial and hands are in SUPERB condition, near mint as you can see, those marks are dust, there is absolutely nothing on the dial or hands, it is showing uniform patina throughout. I don't have box for it unfortunately or papers either, but it is fairly old watch. So the price would be 1150 euro, and as always I can do only throughout BANK TRANSFER as we don't have PAYPAL just yet, but I have A LOT good references here at WUS forum. I will ship it via EMS with tracking, all other carrier at your wish but also at your cost :) Contact here at WUS please or at [email protected] Nikola0406 was an excellent seller nikola0406 great to trade with, very honest Nikola0406: Excellent seller ! A few words about this model. ~ I went on the Internet and I found this....~ Jeremy Clarkson :)

The Stingray has been a stalwart model in the Roamer line up, first introduced in 1967, the name is still in use today. Many brands associate a model name with a certain style of watch, but that wasn’t the case with the Stingray. A quick search will unearth a wide range of vintage models; dress watches, divers watches and chronographs. The chronograph in this post was something of a technical high point in the range, and consequently is one of the most desirable/collectable vintage Roamers these days. On the back of the watch is the distinctive logo found on the majority of Stingray models.
